Spray the stuff on and it quickly cleans the rust off with a very light scotchbright pad (I used a glass surfaces/stovetop pad for gentile cutting). It really couldn't be easier! I haven't had any problem with the color of the cast iron getting damaged, which was my main concern. The bottle is kind of small, I wish I had bought a bigger bottle as I can see myself using this a lot. The speed at which it cuts through the rust is just amazing. What used to take quite a lot of time and elbow grease can be done is minutes with this stuff. For safety, I would suggest wearing some rubber gloves and wearing at least a paper mask. The spray does kind of get to your nose and I'm sure it's not good to breath. I can't imagine it's very good for your skin either, but it generally feels like a fairly safe product to use otherwise.
