Excellent way to play Boss Monster!
The Boss Monster Playmat is a near perfect way to manage your Boss Monster experience.I typically obtain playmats which are designed for the games I play when they are available. This one in particular allows you to support an entire game for 2 players. You could add an additional playmat to support up to 4 players.I really like how it is themed with the 8bit graphics. Also, the printed placeholders for cards makes it easy to organize the game, build your dungeon, and manage the play experience.I only have two items of criticism, and they really arent that big of a deal.1. The "hero" deck marker is placed near the middle of the playmat, thus allowing you space to only place 2 hero's to the right of the hero deck, which represents that they are in town. The space to the left of the hero deck marker is blank. I think the Hero deck marker should have been placed closer to the left edge of the playmat, thus expanding the town area for hero's, especially for games with more than 2 players.2. There isnt a space for "Items" based on the expansion content.3. There is no space for the "Dungeon Entrance." While its not a big deal, it would have been nice to place them on the playmat when you have all five dungeon rooms built.Other than those minor concerns, this is totally the way to play this game.I own 2 playmats and have played a 4 player game, and these work terrific!

Good quality overall
The colors and design were as expected. It runs thinner than I though but feels like is good quality. Can be used as an extended mouse pad too.

Geek out your game!
If you like Boss Monster, geek out and get the mat - I am so happy with it! Note that it is for a 2-player game and works best if the players are seated opposite each other. If you wonder about surface and texture, it feels like a giant mousepad, which I like. (I'd been expecting hard, shiny cardboard and was pleasantly surprised by the feel of the mat. The mousepad material means you can roll your mat up for storage, too!) Do you need it to play the game? Heck, no. But as a big fan of the game, I was happy to collect another piece of Boss Monster swag, and it did make playing the game feel nicer. Worth it!

Good playmat but has a few small flaws
This is my first Amazon review.I bought this playmat to add to my collection of Boss Monster add-ons.I usually play the game in two player mode and we've always played on a generic MTG playmat, so it was nice seeing that Brotherwise had an official two player mat coming out.The mat would be absolutely perfect for Boss Monster or Boss Monster 2 base gameplay ONLY, but I usually play with a few different expansions combined; Tools of Hero Kind, Paper & Pixels, Hidden Secrets and the Portable Pack.Unfortunately, the mat doesn't have a spot for the 'Item' cards found in the Hidden Secrets and Tools of Hero Kind expansions... Also, the 'Town' area (where Hero and Epic Hero cards are placed before the Build Phase begins) is pretty small, so the play area definitely gets cluttered quickly. We also play while sitting on a couch, so we are both sitting on the same side of the playmat. This poses another issue that's specific to my gameplay on the mat. What we do is just flip the cards at the top of the mat and mirror the cards on the bottom, ignoring the Boss, Wounds and Souls text on the top of the mat. With all of that said, we still play with this mat every game. We like the matching artwork and all if the cards that benefit from having a mat under them (making it easier to pick up sleeved cards) are on the mat when they need to be. I would definitely buy this again and would also recommend it to a friend. The only way I could see improving it would be to sell a playmat "set" that has a separate mat for each players dungeon, a mat for the town area (with room for items) and another for the Room and Spell cards... That seems like it would be complete overkill, in my opinion.I've attached some pics of a few games with the mat while being played with items, and the way I organize the map when I play. Hopefully this review helped.
