Stitches slide well
I cast on 144 stitches to make a sockhead slouch hat. I used 100% superwash wool (Malabrigo sock). The stitches slide easily along the cable and the needle tips. No problems with the joins. The laser cutting on the tips is unusual in how it looks. The tips are not the pointiest... Chiaogoo needles are pointier. I knit continental and did not have any problems with splitting or anything with this combination of needle and yarn. I would like to see these tips as an interchangeable set of needles. As far as the hand feel, they are comfortable. I have small hands. Two years ago, I had surgery for severe ulnar nerve compression in my dominant hand. My ulnar nerve was rerouted, and I had a medial epicondylectomy of the ulna. I can easily hold these size 1 16" needles without hand cramping. The cable is flexible and doesn't have any memory from its storage. The disclaimer on the packaging is funny - "untrained people" might get hurt using them!

First time trying squared needles
Really enjoy knitting with these. They are extremely light and because it's square, my stitches stayed put. I usually have a problem with the early rows slipping off. Recommended.

Hmmmm 🤔 Ridges??
I’ve used nearly every knitting needle ever made. Including the old whale bone, the ancient Stainless steel cabled circulars, the briefly available Susan Bates Tipping Points - where you could detach the very tip of a straight needle to make it pointy, medium or blunt, and every kind of Addi fixed, interchangeable and type. These Addi Rocket2 squared needles are very nice. The cables are beautifully attached so no snagging on your yarn. The cables do not swivel, but that’s not an issue I care about. I like square needles and basically ordered these out of curiosity about the “ridges”. 🤔 still can’t quite figure out the reason for putting ridges in square needles? I’m using these with Alchemy Silken Straw which is pretty slippery. I started the sweater with Kollage Square interchanges and switched to these Addi needles when they arrived. I can see no advantage so far. I had thought the ridges might help keep slick slippery yarns under control, but I can’t tell the difference between these and my other needles.Having said all that .... Addi needles are wonderful, reliable, dependable Knitting needles from a company that has been making needles since 1829.The square needle is very comfortable- especially if you have any tiredness or discomfort in your hands when knitting. For many people, myself included - a square needle helps to keep stitches even. I will add to this review if & when I figure out what advantage the ridges represents!😄

Well worth the price!
I was looking for shorter circular needles for hat knitting - I didn't even know they made square circulars until I happened upon these! Not only are the needles squared (which is much easier to grip - I don't feel like my fingers are as tight as they usually are), but the tips are also textured! I'm using a rather slippery yarn and I don't feel like the needles want to slip out at all. The tips are nice and pointy, as I've come to expect from Addi. The cables are very pliable as well - no stiffness. If you are looking for needles that are an absolute pleasure to use, these are awesome. I will definitely be buying these in other sizes as I expand my collection of short circulars.

Great for magic loop 2AAT Socks
Pros:- addi’s wonderfully super-flexible cable allows the somewhat sharp turns for magic loop with very little cable memory- long taper tips, sharp but not painfully so- squared tips don’t flex like their normal tips do when knitting tightly- little divots in each tip surface prevent slipping stitches- slippery tip coating allow stitches to move quickly on needle tips with very little pushingCons:- divots in tip surfaces prevent true turbo knitting- costs significantly more than inexpensive brands (ones that lack the qualities that experienced knitters prefer)Summary:- I’m glad I tried these. They are close to perfect- I do wish that I’d bought the normal turbo rocket tip circular instead.Why?- I’m used to working to avoid slipping stitches off the slippery tips of the smooth round addi rocket tips that I usually buy.- The close space little divots along the tip surfaces of these slow me down a little and make a small but noticeable difference for me as a frequent knitter who also has chronic tendinitis, carpal tunnel, and thoracic outlet syndrome challenges.I would prefer these to the usual addi rockets for lace weight silk or mercerized cotton yarns, though. These are perfect for slippery yarns, better than all the other brands and styles I’ve tried so far (chiaogoo, knitters pride - several styles)These are similar to the KP nova cubics platina (but KP cables are way tougher and less pleasant to work with).

Wonderful
I LOVE these needles. I have tried every needle on the market. I have one brand that i consistently use( chiagoo) but these square needles may have taken the top spot!I find my hands are less tired with the square needle

Great buy!!
I am so so glad I came across these needles!! The squared design provides better grip and helps to prevent dropped stitches.I know the price is a bit steep for one set of needles but it is so with it. I have already ordered more for my next project!!
