I ordered this product after returning (to another manufacturer) a "domed" competitive model. This advertiser states in the Amazon description, "And unlike many competitors, it has straight wires for a flat, level surface. Your rack will NOT be bowed, domed, or warped. Your food stays put!". Well, mine arrived a few minutes ago, and it IS just as bowed, domed or warped as the other. I had nothing to complain about with the returned product of the other manufacturer because it made no claim about whether it's rack was domed or not, but I do complain about this one because the advertising claim is made that this model would be flat, not bowed or domed. The advertising claim obviously knew, in advance, that customers would object to a domed product, otherwise the claim would not have been made.The product itself seems well-enough made, and it arrived quickly. It's just disheartening to have been so specifically misled that the surface would be flat. I don't understand why they can't make these with a flat rack. I speculate that the outer ring is very hot from the welding process when all the wire mesh is welded around the periphery, so its outer ring expands from the heat. Then when it cools, the diameter of the outer ring contracts, forcing the center of the mesh to dome. In any event, that seems to be the result for this and similar racks, so if a flat mesh is what you want, look elsewhere.You can't just flatten the mesh by hand because the heavy wires don't bend. The mesh just "pops" from convex to concave and back again.It's interesting that yet a third seller on Amazon is also aware of the convex doming issue and touts the doming as an advantage, saying the domed shape helps grease drip off better. What!? Just understand that doming is an issue common among brands, whether you ignore it, say your design doesn't have it, or absurdly taut it as an advantage.UPDATE: I reordered this rack and a second one arrived, less domed than the first, but still not flat. I gave-up and just kept it, returning the more domed of the two. Anyway, neither was "flat" in a normal sense of that word.

I purchased this as a gift for someone who wants to learn to put up food(canning.) It looks as if it is very well made.

I lay marinated chicken tenders across it inside the instapot. They cook great this way, juicy, almost falling apart. It’s kinda hard to clean if you are a neat freak like me. I soak it in dish soap inside the pot and then it’s easy to wipe off and get in all the little crevices.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I needed a round cooling rack because all I had were rectangular ones, and that’s pretty awkward when you need to flip a round cake over in its pan. I wanted something sturdy and this is definitely sturdy! I like that it is a grid and not just one row of bars—that can sometimes leave indentations in the bottom of things. A grid gives better support. One thing I REALLY like is the 2 inch height of this. That allows plenty of room for air to flow under but it also allows room for my hand so when I flip the cake over onto the rack and put it on the counter I can pull my hand out from underneath.So anyway I ordered the first one and came back for a second. Another reviewer said theirs was domed but mine is flat as can be so if yours isn’t flat, return it. Good luck and happy baking (or canning, or air frying…)

It’s worthy, easy to use

This was my first time trying this product and it is absolutely perfect for my canning pots. I use a smaller canning pot to do small batch canning and I've tried forever to find a rack that would fit in it. These racks fit perfectly and they're easy to clean. I am so happy with them.
