Mold is Gone!
Works great. We had mold all around the bathroom where the wall meets the ceiling. It's the bathroom everyone showers in. I bought this dehumidifier because it can drain directly into the sink. The problem has now been solved over 1 year running. I position the unti at the back corner of the sink, and turn it around backwards so the drain faces the sink, and open the little plug, it drips all day long right into the sink. I use a bottle cap to prop up the front just a bit for better dripping into the sink, but that's not required to make it work. I don't even need the enclosed hose for draining-- but you could if you wanted to place it further away from the sink on a larger countertop. I haven't had to clean the bucket a single time, because the water never builds up inside. We run it all day, and shut it off at night due to how close the bathroom is to our bedroom, so we don't hear it. But also the lower power nighttime mode is so quiet we wouldn't hear it at night anyway-- but we decided to let the motor rest at night as it's already a low humid environment in the bathroom/bedroom area thanks to running it all day. I am looking to buy another to place at the back corner of the kitchen sink... That one I would run at night since no-one will hear it from their bedroom then, and shut off during the day (opposite how we are running the unit in the bathroom). Something else-- just from the 1 unit we've been running so far it makes it so we don't have to keep the house as chilly with the AC to feel comfortable. You would be surprised but this Summer we have the thermostat set 2 degrees higher temp than last year just from the dehumidification from the 1 unit in the back bathroom. I have seen posts that people say only a little water in the reservoir (if they are not direct draining into the sink obviously) so they think it's not effective. But I say multiply that amount of water x 30 and realize that's a lot of water over 1 month. Anyway, it cured out bathroom mold problem and now I am scheming to get a second unit to reduce how often we need keep the AC running.

Top Quality, Efficient, Delightful
I have had this wonderful dehumidifier set up in my small bathroom and it has made a giant difference not just the bathroom but the air quality in the mobile home is striking in comparison. I am thinking, that the battle to stop mildew has just been solved. Thank you, for making such an awesome piece of equipment, not only does the job but it creates an ambience, an atmosphere, literally, that has a smile on my face. I feel it is also very safe the plug and cord seem sturdy as does the basic container. The lighting is what puts it over the top, feel good shifting light display.

No Need to Empty - Great for Finished and Unfinished Basement
Has worked perfectly so far. I have used it in my 450 sq ft basement while it was unfinished and finished and post remediation. The air feels and smells better. It is easy and low maintence as I set it on the utility sink and let it drain on its own. No need to check on it and empty since it has a drain hole where water can drain out.

Very poor performance.
This part was installed in our very small bathroom on Wednesday afternoon. When i say small bathroom, i do mean that it is just big enough for a shower, toilet and a single sink. There are 4 people living in our house and we all take at least one shower a day, the wife and myself usually take 2. There is no exhaust vent in this bathroom and we have been using a large dehumidifier to keep the humidity down. It took up too much space and was very loud. I purchased this dehumidifier thinking that it would be the perfect use for it. It would take up a smaller footprint, could drain directly into the sink so no more dumping and using less power could run 24/7. I understood that it would not be as efficient, but was not prepared for how bad it truly would be. After 5 days in service this machine barely managed to cover the bottom of the tank in a room with a layer of steam in the air and all over everything. Picture is from Sunday night. Not even a drip hanging from the drain. I even closed the door over the weekend to hold the humidity in that room. It didn't clear it in 8 hours. I believe that the reason for the poor performance is the extremely weak fan. It barely moves enough air to be felt if you put your hand directly over a vent. All of this with about the noise level of an overheating PC. So without sufficient air circulating through the machine it never would remove the humidity from any room. The coils could be seen through the grill in the front and they both had a very nice layer of condensation on them. So the coils were working, but with no air circulation there was no way for the humid air to come in contact with them. I plugged in the old large machine and the humidity level was over 80%, which the large machine took care of in literally 5 minutes to under 50% and you could hear a steam of water running into the tank when it was shut off. As stated before, there were no delusions that this machine would keep up with the large unit. I simply figured that it would clear the room out over an hour or 2 or 3 after a shower and use less power in doing so. This thing ran constant, for all 5 days, and this is all it came up with from a heavily used shower room. Does not perform as advertised, barely performs the its stated purpose at all. Do not recommend, try something else. I doubt that this machine could fill the tank if it was dropped in a lake.

Relatively acceptable
Bought two of these at the same time. Put them both into service on the same day. They both run nearly 24/7 in different bathrooms, right next to their respective toilets. One was shut off to use the outlet for something else and when it was turned back on it began to start growling when it runs. They've been running almost constant for nearly 18 months now. In an effort to just power through and use every last ounce of life from the growling unit we turned it on during the day and after about 10 minutes of operation the growling went away and we haven't turned it off since. Overall, they're little troopers and have performed admirably. They're not too loud, just have a low hum and whispy sound when operating. The only gripe I have is they don't have a red LED mode for better night vision. They don't produce too much heat, likely because they don't pull tons of water from the air. They do well for a small bathroom, though. Would buy again. Update (12 May 2025): well, one unit has officially died. It appears that the fan has seized up on the little unit. The other one that was purchased at the same time is still working well. The now-deceased unit lasted just under 1.5 years. I purchased a replacement and at checkout Amazon offered an extended warranty of 3 years for roughly $9, or 4 years for $12. If you're expecting to need the unit beyond 18 months, it might be prudent to purchase the extended warranty. I only need the new one to last another 18 months before I PCS out of this place and go back to a dry climate. Other than that, they're not half bad, just plan accordingly.

After months of dealing with stuffy air, sticky walls, and relentless humidity, I finally decided to give the Gocheer Dehumidifier a try—and wow, what a difference! Designed to handle spaces up to 800 sq ft, this compact dehumidifier packs a serious punch, turning muggy rooms into dry, breathable spaces. If you're looking for a reliable solution to combat excess moisture, look no further. The Gocheer dehumidifier has everything you need. Compact Yet Powerful Don’t let its size fool you—this thing WORKS. At first, I was skeptical about whether such a compact unit could handle my living room, but the Gocheer Dehumidifier exceeded my expectations. Within a few hours, the air felt noticeably lighter and fresher. The device is incredibly efficient, pulling a surprising amount of moisture out of the air without taking up much floor space. If you're tight on room, this sleek little machine fits right in without being an eyesore. Easy Drainage with the Built-in Hose One of the biggest selling points of this dehumidifier is the drain hose option. Instead of constantly emptying a water tank (which can get annoying fast), you can set it up for continuous drainage. This feature is a game-changer, especially if you’re running the dehumidifier in a humid basement or large living space. I hooked up the drain hose, and now I can leave it running without ever having to worry about overflow. Set it and forget it! Whisper-Quiet Operation I was worried about noise, especially since I planned to run it in my bedroom at night, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Gocheer Dehumidifier is almost whisper-quiet. You’ll barely notice it’s on, even during the nighttime. No more loud, clunky machines keeping you up at night! It hums along quietly in the background while doing its job. Perfect for bedrooms, home offices, or living rooms where you don’t want noise distractions. Improved Air Quality—Instantly Noticeable This dehumidifier doesn’t just remove excess moisture; it makes the entire space feel healthier. After just a few days, I noticed less dust buildup and fewer allergens floating around. My sinuses cleared up, and the musty smell in my basement disappeared entirely. The air quality improvement was instantly noticeable, especially in areas that tend to get stuffy or damp. It’s more than just a comfort upgrade—it’s a health upgrade, too. Energy Efficient and Cost-Effective Running a dehumidifier can be costly if you have a high-power unit, but the Gocheer Dehumidifier is surprisingly energy-efficient. I’ve been running it for weeks, and there’s been no significant spike in my electricity bill. The energy-saving mode helps maintain moisture levels without overworking the machine, keeping your energy use low. It’s both effective and budget-friendly, which is a rare combination! User-Friendly Design Setting up and using the Gocheer Dehumidifier couldn’t be simpler. The controls are intuitive and easy to navigate, even if you’re not tech-savvy. There are customizable settings for humidity levels, and the LED display lets you monitor the current humidity in real-time. It’s straightforward to adjust for different room sizes or moisture levels, and the removable water tank is easy to clean if you’re not using the hose option. Portable and Versatile Weighing in at a manageable size, the Gocheer Dehumidifier is easy to move around the house. Whether I need it in the bedroom, the bathroom, or the basement, I can carry it from room to room without hassle. It’s a versatile device that works just as well in a small room as it does in larger areas up to 800 sq ft. Perfect for anyone with shifting needs or varying levels of humidity throughout the house. Conclusion: The Ultimate Solution for Moisture Control The Gocheer Dehumidifier is hands-down one of the best investments I’ve made for my home. It’s powerful, quiet, and incredibly easy to use. With its efficient moisture control and continuous drainage system, it takes the hassle out of dehumidifying any space. Whether you’re dealing with musty basements, damp bedrooms, or moisture-prone kitchens, this unit has you covered. If you're ready to say goodbye to humidity and hello to fresh, dry air, the Gocheer Dehumidifier is the way to go!

Good product and customer supportthe manufacturer stood by their product.
We purchased 4 of these in January for our small home in the Pacific NW. They worked great and after 2 months the raining season had stopped so we unplugged them. Yesterday we got the 4 out and plugged them back in to get ready for the fall rains. One does not turn on and Amazon said it had to be returned within 30 days of purchase so we are now stuck with a broken machine. We spent $300 on these and now are told there is only a 30 day warranty period. I contacted the manufacturer and they responded in a positive manner almost immediately after I sent my issue to them, and the problem has been resolved.

Great dehumidifier for small to medium-sized rooms
This is a great dehumidifier for smaller to medium-sized rooms. I live in a 700 sq ft condo and this would not be effective for the whole place. I use this in my living room as a supplement to my HVAC air conditioner (which is a much bigger dehumidifier than anything I could buy on Amazon) and I've been very pleased with the results. If you're stuck using a window air conditioner, you're probably going to want one of these for each room. It'd also probably be great for small bathrooms that don't have ceiling fans to remove shower steam. It's small enough to fit comfortably on my kitchen counter without loosing more than about a square foot of countertop. It looks pretty stylish. There's a button to turn the colored light on and off, and to cycle through the available colors (blues and greens) to pause on a color you like. The color resets when you turn the unit on and off; it won't remember your selection. It doesn't take much effort to wait a second or two for the light to cycle through to the blue I like and then hit the button to pause it there. It's very quiet, like a small desk fan set on low. There's a "night mode" that turns off the light and lowers the sound even further. I've got my unit in the living room, not the bedroom, so I never bother with the night mode. I imagine it's a little less efficient at getting moisture out of the air than day mode just because a lower fan speed means less air getting pulled through it per hour. My unit seems to pull around a cup of water out of the air in a day with normal Chicago summer humidity. There have been a couple of days when it was extra humid and it did better than a cup. There was never a point where I needed to empty it every day. I typically empty it every other day and it's never half full, so I could probably go most of a week without dumping the water. It has a port for a drain hose (hose included) so that it can be set up to be self-draining, but I've never needed to use it. The way these humidifiers work is that they have cold pipes where water condenses, just like if you have a glass with a cold beverage on a hot day. The water trickles into the bottom of the dehumidifier and can't evaporate back out again. The hotter and more humid the air, the faster water condenses on the pipes and the faster water trickles into the bottom of the machine. So if you live somewhere like Georgia and don't have great A/C, you'll probably get more water per day than I do and have to empty it more often or use the drainage hose. This unit is small enough to comfortably fit on my kitchen counter if I ever needed to run the hose into the sink. Overall, I really like this dehumidifier. I wish my winter humidifier was as aesthetically pleasing. I've had it for about 2 months now. (Purchased in early July 2023.) I'll update this review if it has any issues later.
