Definitely one to pocket now.
Sorry but there seems to be some confusion here. The reviews shown above from Martin A Hogan to D S Harden are not for the same release mentioned here for saleThe release here for sale shown above is "WORDS - A BEE GEES SONGBOOK"(2020) not "THE BEE GEES SONGBOOK "(2004) or "BEE GEES SONG BOOK - THE GIBB BROTHERS BY OTHERS"(1993).While this release "Word's A Bee Gees Songbook" is similar in its content to those mentioned it should not be confused with the fore mentioned titles. It seems that these record companies who release such titles are trying to confuse the buy public by competing for market share with such similar titles. Why they bother with all this confusion is really beyond me? These type of Bee Gees Songbooks actually seem to sell extremely well no matter what and are always much sought after.A prime example is another such similar release called "Maybe Someone Is Digging Underground - The Songs Of The Bee Gees" (2004). To find a New or Mint copy is now a rare thing and should you happen to do so you will be expected to pay a handsome sum of money for the privilege of owning such a title. This brings me to my little review of this release. Yes this Cd is definitely one of those purchases that you should now pocket. From its lovely informative inlay and nicely pictured booklet, telling you how each of these wonderfully written Gibb Bother songs came to be recorded by some less well known artists to more well known artists, to those hidden written gems that were never recorded by the Gibb Brothers themselves but are found here making their first debut on this type of music format. Its definitely a release which I would recommend and has a very good sound quality too.My only criticism of this release would be that when compared to its competitors it has a lot of tracks have been presented before.I feel the recording company could have been a bit more selective with the tracks placed on this Cd. It's not like there isn't still more of this material available out there that could have placed on this release and made it little more original and unique, like our Japanese friend above has also pointed out in his review.Either way this is a very nice and fine release with some very interesting tracks of its own. Another fine example of the incredible expansive and imaginative dynamics of the sometimes under appreciated gifts of the great Gibb Brothers and their ever expanding legacy more commonly known to us all as The Bee Gees.

Great Collection!
In 1993, the "Bee Gees Songbook" was compiled and released with twenty covers. This collection only has seventeen, but they are all exquisite covers from well known artists. The only strong song missing is "To Love Somebody". The following is the list until a regular one is implemented. Most of these songs are known to the readers, however, the Love Unlimited Orchestra really does a rousing rendition of "Night Fever", Daniel O'Donnell gives a strong flair to "Don't Forget To Remember" and Blockster's "You Should Be Dancing" does the Gibb Brothers justice. The only cut that one might skip is Tom Jones and Paul Anka. They sing off each other as if they really aren't interested in the song as much as they are in their collaboration. It sounds silly. If that is the only complaint one can find here, that's a really great sign that this collection is worth buying.
