The Picklemeister Glass Fermentation Jar (Picklemeister 1 Gallon)

Works great. I’m using it to ferment hot peppers to make my own Tobasco sauce

The product exceeded my expectations. Seals in the caps of other lesser fermenters always seem like a weak point but this one is going to last. I used it once already and it seals great, I can wash it very easily, so it's not stressful to undertake a pickling or fermentation project. The thing I like best, what made me write my review because my time is so short, is that a very nice letter was included with the item indicating genuine concern on the part of the merchant that I am satisfied, as well as information about fermenting, encouragement, and recipes. It was so non-corporate and homespun. I love that. I feel like someone that cares recieved my business and I am going to buy about two more in time for the summer harvest.

Makes great Kimche. The lids work well with larger pickle jars too. I usually make a gallon and switch it back into this jar as it gets used up. Picklemeister keeps the proper enzymes and bacteria where they belong. I use it about every month or so. Plastic Picklemeister seems plenty strong enough for years of use.

Lid arrived slightly cracked, but my money was refunded and it's still usable. Very pleased!

The apocalypse could be upon us any moment. Learning an important skill like canning could make you an important warlord in the after after times. With this jar you don't need to worry about burping and watching. I have made kraut, pickles, tepache, kimchi. Wonderful for making things then transferring to smaller jars and starting a new batch.

The Jar itself is great, but the rubber stopper came loose, and as it came loose a bunch of rubber shavings and glue fell in to my pickle brine. I had to go to the hardware store and purchase a new stopper in order to continue using this. Also, the lid is very thin, it flexes alot, which is why I think the rubber seal came undone.

My son was ecstatic to receive this for his birthday. He said it worked great. Was easy to use and easy to clean afterward. Great product, great price.

I ordered this and it was fulfilled by Wisemen Trading and Supply. The box that showed up looked, odd, lots of tape and the box seemed pieced together. After opening, the 1 gallon jar was in perfect condition and plenty of packing material to keep it safe from across the country. There was also a note from the shipper about how they reuse packing materials to keep costs down and keep material out of landfills which i appreciate. The jar itself is exactly what I wanted/needed. Nice and wide mouth, thick glass, lid with carb for fermenting and a solid lid to put on later. Will totally order again if i need another large jar.
