ONE OF THE BEST
Ramadam looks at the prophet's life from a different angle. Ramadan's Muhammad(SAWS) is rich in details on certain aspect of his life. I found this book well balanced fair and honest. A must read.

A Beautiful Book
This is probably the best and most accurate book ever written in English about the Prophet Muhammad, because of its deep meaning. Also, it takes a very spiritual view of his life (i.e. it's not just a rehash of facts and dates). Highly recommended for all readers of any ethnicity or faith. This book is a must-read and is a true celebration of the love that Muhammad conveyed to all humankind.

A fair narrative description
Ramadan is a highly intelligent and philosophical man, so it is surprising that his biography of the Holy Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wassalam is rather pedestrian and lacking in philosophical depth. Perhaps because this is a short biography, and Ramadan wanted to say something about all major events in the Prophet's life, it has a sketchy, fast-moving feel. It seldom pauses to explain the things it describes. Having said that, it is written in an easy, accessible style that allow the narrative to rattle along at a steady speed.

This book is identical to the volume entitled "In The ...
This book is identical to the volume entitled "In The Footsteps of the Prophet." Only the titles and covers look different! Isn't this duplicity?I am considerably appalled!Rizwi Faizer

Sehr empfehlenswert!

Exceptional
I was in search of a book about the Prophet Muhammad pbuh that was concise and written in a way that would engage me from start to finish and I was happy to have been recommended The Messenger by a friend. Tariq Ramadan did not disappoint, it was a pleasure to have learnt things about the Prophet that I had no idea about, like how he was depressed during the period of silence when revelations ceased for up to 2 years. Ramadan's book was a breath of fresh air, for once I had come across a book stressing how the Prophet was just like us, he got sick like us, he worked for a living like us, he fell in love like us, he hoped for children like us, he was bereft of people he had loved all his life just like ordinary human beings. Ramadan reminds us that it was because of his duty to set an example to the people as a Messenger, that he encouraged us to struggle in the way of righteousnessAn exceptional read suitable for even complete beginners in learning about Islam, if offers both a historical and spiritual insight into the life of an exceptional man.

AMAZINGGGG!
I have never written a review in my life, but for this book i had too! For someone who wants to read the Quran English translation this books allows you to understand why certain verses and chapters were sent down in the Quran because of certain events that happened during the prophet (pbuh) time! This book allowed me to understand the context of the Quran. It also talks about how the prophet (pbuh) was his life, his manners. Wallahi I want to thank the author for the amount of knowledge I have learnt & I have recommended this book to so many people! Jazakallah khairan! May Allah reward you immensely!!!
