The Pond Guy ClearSpring Pro Waterfall

I wish it came with a fake rock cover it's hard to find something to fit the top of it But it looks great waterfall.

makes a dramatic waterfall and because of screwed on lip insures no loss of water. i added additional bulkhead fittings for side streams on the left and right of the falls

Was easy to install, comes with some screws, a plate to attach where the water exits, black silicone, one square of sponge filter, plumbers tape, a mesh bag for bio media, and slip on pvc attachments for 1 1/2 in tubing/pvc.My only complaint is that there were no predrilled or preparred grooves for drilling to perfectly line up the plate attachment. Not a big deal and wasnt too hard to line up and drill.Flow seems good and matches well with my 4500gph vivosun water pump. You will need to purchase other media because that one filter sponge is not going to cut it. Luckily i already had prior cycled filter media to use.So far everything is working out in terms of its function as a waterfall. I am doubtful though that the amount of space left for media is enough to maintain filtration for the flow of this specific model. I measured my ponds average diameter and depth to be rated for around 1500 gallons or slightly less. I would recommend having a backup plan for filtration and not to rely on this setup alone. For my situation i have lots of rocks, some aquatic plants, and a backup cycled diy filter i made. Also keep in mind i have 7 fairly large koi and a crap ton of goldfish/koi mix which would also explain why i need more filtration power.The pricing seems fair to me considering what you get, but after looking at its design i could have probablly gotten away with a cheaper diy alternative. Its convenience i would say is worth the cost.Also keep in mind normal hose output is not enough to test the waterfall capacity. You will be highly dissappointed if you try to test it with a hose (obviously without your cycled media). Testing with the pond half full or full enough to submerge the pump is recommended.Overall i would recommend this product.

Does a great job filtering the pond.

The plumbing should have had three different hose widths on each hookup to be able to adapt my flex hose in my pond. I was not going to buy a new one as the one I had met my needs. I had to jury rig the hookup and it was not easy. I had to buy plumbing cement to attach the fittings. Also, the filter bacteria balls kept floating out of the top and into the pond, so I had to get a heavy flag stone to fit into the shelf to keep them in the well. After all said and done it is working good with my new pump. The waterfall lip, I had to get a new drill bit to sink the screws in as the cement alone did not work. The cement that came with the kit did not hold. For the price, this should have been thought out better to make a much easier set up.it took me three days to get it into the pond and working correctly.

If you have a waterfall into you pond, this is an easy to maintain waterfall filter box. It’s open on the top so easy to get to and clean the filter media. For the price, would have been nice to include the biological media as well but I had lava rocks from my old filter box that worked fine in their new bag. I had to do some imaginative plumbing to get a one inch hose to fit since they only supply a 1.5 inch adapter. Having a one inch adapter included as well would have made my life easier.

Why does this waterfall not come with some sort of lid to keep the media from being forced out by the water flow from the pump ? I called Pond guy today and had to order an additional lid that was $80..

Side hose connector! I made it work but wud be better in the rear.
