I was blessed by reading this book. This book gives precious insight into a family that the Lord has used in mighty big ways for His kingdom. Although I never had the honor to meet Bill or get to personally know Lola, I look forward to the day I get to. God used Lola's writings to not only document a families memories, but the hearts and missions of the Carr family, for His Glory.

I enjoyed getting to know this family more through Lola's letters. I was able to witness some of these events and here I sit at the end of Rev. Carr and Lola's life teary eyed. My boys benefited from knowing Bill and Lola, but sadly my daughter will only hear stories. You won't be sorry reading this book and watching God show off in the lives of everyday people!

Excellent book following the life line of a blessed family. You will laugh, cry, and be very blessed by the letters written by such a swwet lady!

What’s left unsaid was what struck me the most. I know the Carr family, so I found it enjoyable to read about their lives from the very beginning up until now. Lola always portrays things in the most positive light because of her unwavering faith. In reality, looking back on things family went through, life is sometimes very hard. Many times a pastor’s wife is kind of an unsung hero, working behind the scenes, managing an often hectic home life while her husband is in the readily visible position. Both are running on faith in God. The book made me think about the life of a pastor‘s wife, which I’ve never really spent much time dwelling on before. I was touched by it.
