The Legend of the Cherry Queens: A Very Cherry Fairy Tale

I loved this book. My daughter-in-law is from the Traverse City, MI area and has told me about the Cherry Festival and parade. This story brought it to life for me, and the illustrations are wonderful. I found myself reading the book aloud as if to a child. I can't wait to give a copy to my daughter-in-law and see her reaction. I'm sure we will have to get more copies to share with her nieces.

Commendable addition to the American folktale canon. This would be a fun read-a-loud in a library story time setting.The illustrations match the prose perfectly and the graphic novel aspect would appeal to kids who are not enthusiastic readers.The Fact Sheet at the end could serve as a springboard for independent research. This would serve as a worthy addition to a library's 398.6 collection.

A sweet story that will delight all ages. I love the colorful fun illustrations. My favorite being the questioning dog who finding his food bowl filled with cherries! Full of fun facts about cherry farming presented in a cute story. A great gift to share the wonder that is “Up North Michigan”.

A beautifully illustrated children's book about the Cherry Queens in northern Michigan. Wish I had small children or grandchildren of an age where I could buy more than the one copy I purchased.

Our daughter got married near cherry country so this book held special meaning! It is fun, engaging and filled with cherry facts and fanciful illustrations! A joyful read for children and parents alike!
