This battery saved my late 2018 15" MacBook Pro. My original battery was out of warranty and had swollen to the extent it was pushing the casing and causing it not to sit flat on a desk. The keyboard was causing the lid not to close. This was not an easy install and took approximately 3 hours following an iFixtIt guide. It come with some tools but you need a full set of micro tools to remove everything to get to the battery and install. The original battery is also hard to remove and I used Goo Gone sticker remover with a plastic tool. Once installed the battery charges and discharges just like the original. I am very pleased with the purchase however, it requires some skill, time and extra tools to get the job done.

Battery look like original but installing this battery is complicated and tool provide does not fit all screw..

Bought and installed this battery and it worked fine for about 10 months. Then it started swelling like the original one that it replaced. It was still under warranty and to the sellers credit they were quick to ship a replacement.Unfortunately the replacement provided under warranty is defective: MacOS recognizes it and says it's 51% charged, but lists the condition as "Service Battery". When I unplug the power adapter, the computer turns turns off as if there wasn't a battery installed at all. I reset the SMC and tried re-seating all of the connections, to no avail.So I've had 2 out of 2 of these end up being defective. I will have to find another seller with batteries from a different manufacturer and try again. Replacing these takes hours and is a very tedious job that puts a lot of physical stress on the hardware (laptops are not designed to be taken apart over and over). I am stuck doing this job now for the third time, and I don't want to risk doing it a fourth.

One star because these idiots could have made life easy by just supplying a T3 Torx screwdriver. Since they didn't, I have to order one. But, that's what we get when we order on the cheap. Of course, I could order it from iFixit and pay $149 and get all the right tools, but is it worth $70 for a screwdriver and some glue remover? No. Oh, well... guess I'll order the screwdriver. Screwed over again.

The supplied t3 driver did not work on the MacBook pro, I had to immediately order the correct tool.

The connector for the battery data board was...missing. Not broken off, just not there. You can see in the picture where it should be soldered to the board. This, of course, makes the battery utterly useless. Who thinks checks to make sure all the components are present on the board until the end of the battery replacement process? What a waste of time and money. Buy elsewhere, ifixit sells batteries.
