Surprisingly good quality for an inexpensive tool
I'm usually a bit skeptical of cheap crimpers, especially after some previous Amazon buys, but these work great! I've never really used ferrules before but had zero issues with this kit. Definitely a lot easier to deal with than loose stranded wire. The tool itself is surprisingly well made, especially at the price point. The grip is comfortable and it crimps smoothly. The carrying case is pretty low quality though. I threw that out immediately.

Great Value
I'm not an electrician and I may never need to crimp another ferrule, but one can never have too many tools. I bought this tool simply because I needed to crimp one ferrule installing a soft starter on my outside HVAC compressor. It worked flawlessly right out of the box. Considering the quality of the crimper, the good selection of ferrules, and the nice case, this tool was a bargain. And I'll be ready if I ever need to crimp another one.

Premium Quality Tool and Ferrule Assortment
I'm in the process of doing some home remodeling, and i'm upgrading to smart wifi switches and new lights and new wiring. In the process of doing this work, I noticed that the smart switches and led lights, come with stranded wire, and I wanted to use the new push in wire nuts https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000F5THV8 The issue is that stranded wire can't be pushed into those like you can with solid wire "Romex". So I did some research and a crimp on ferrule seemed to be what I needed. I looked thru the offerings on Amazon, and decided on this kit. I can say, without a doubt, I am very pleased with this setup. Everything about this feels premium. The box is full color, not a brown cardboard plain box, inside is a really nice zippered stiff sided storage pouch, inside the pouch there are elastic bands to secure the tool and ferrules. the ferrules are housed in a nice plastic container, and get this, none of the ferrules were out of place. I didn't have some of the red ferrules mixed in with the blue ones, or the grey, etc.. So that was really nice that I didn't have to reorganize hundreds of scattered ferrules, they all stayed in their correct compartments within the plastic box, even thru shipping. Wow! The tool feels premium, it has heft to it and the mechanism is smooth and positive. Like something that would normally cost $100+ just for the tool alone. The ferrules also seem to be of high quality, I didn't see any burrs or bad stampings. In the process of researching which ferrule crimper kit I wanted to buy, i chose on the 6 way crimper, as I felt that it would provide a "closer to round" style of crimp, vs the more common 4 way crimp that makes a square shape. I crimped the ferrules on the ends of the stranded wires and installed them in the push in wire nuts and they worked great, exactly what I needed. I think these are a great value, the quality seems very good and the price is phenomenal for everything you get.

Does the job, and well
This is the first time I have used a this ferrule connector type and connector crimping tool. Both the ferrules and crimping tool work perfectly. Fit and finish of all the bits is very good. The crimping tool quality and performance are very high. Makes perfectly crimped results easy every time.

Good value for home or small shop.
This set is an excellent valve for someone who is starting out in the electrical field or who does not need a heavy duty one such as the knipex for $200. Very easy to use. The inside label has the metric to sae conversion so You can reference the wire size to the color ferrule you need. I find the hexagon style crimp hugs around the wire better and inserts easier than the square style crimp. These are handy for block terminals where the wires are inserted into a hole. The ferrule help keep the wires from fraying out during insertion and when wires have to be repeatedly removed and reinstalled. It also makes for a cleaner installation for exposed connections such as car amplifiers. Max crimp size is 10awg. 8awg will fit snuggly in the crimper but it jams up when attempting to crimp. Sizes included go down to 24awg which is around the size of networking wire. The cloth case seems sturdy enough to hold the crimper and ferrule assortment. There is a strap on the case that will help hold the lid on the ferrule box after the tab inevitably breaks off. Crimper can be put in a almost full stroke for locking it closed for storage in the case. The crimper is a ratcheting style so you can lock onto the ferrule before inserting the wire when working in awkward or tight spaces. The crimper has some slack in it where the pivoting handle meets the crimping head. For mild usage it should never reach the point of failure.

Tiny ferrules
I did not realize that these ferrules were so small. I needed them for #10 and#8 wire nothing in the kit was large enough. It was a very nice kit, I just couldn’t use it.

Does what it's supposed to, and does it pretty well.
As an industrial machine controls technician, I've used this hex crimp on a number of jobs. It crimps 22-10 AWG wires nicely with the included ferrules, as well as the name brands we work with. It seems fairly durable though I have not tried to destroy it. It doesn't flex, or feel flimsy or spongy when pressing a crimp. The hex shape of the resulting contact fits into small terminals more easily than some square profile crimps. It's also more forgiving of slight mismatches in conductor/ferrule selection. To give a fair review, one section of the die presses SLIGHTLY less than the others. It's most noticeable on larger gauge, fine strand wire, where it's likely less critical anyway. The zipper on the nylon case is problematic. It tends to get stuck at the ends. Luckily, I didn't buy it for the case. Overall, the Preciva hex crimp seems to be a very good value for $32+tax.
