These thinning shears worked great on my short, thick hair!
I have hair with a mind of its' own. I wear it short and despite the fact that every hair is very thin; I have tons of hair and it needs to be thinned out when I have my hair cut every four weeks. I missed my last appointment and my hair stylist, who I've gone to for thirty years (Bless Her!), is on vacation so I am left to make my hair somewhat presentable . I threw away my old thinning shears because I had made a mistake and bought one that had too few teeth and it was chunking my hair. These shears have more teeth and work well on my very fine hair. I hardly ever have to use it between haircuts because my Stylist gives me such a good haircut but under these circumstances, I'm glad I bought these to try. My hair is longer but not as full now and it (and I) will make it until she gets home. I have used many shears over the years, including some very expensive ones I bought from a Beauty Supply store that the hair stylists use. I find these shears to be equal to those in sharpness and ease of use. They probably won't last for twenty years like those did but I wouldn't expect that. Highly recommend these!

Sharp Quality
Comfortable, quality and Sharp (unlike some less expensive ones I had bought)

Great Price And Very Sharp
I purchased the non-thinning shear first and loved it so I then purchased this thinning shear but have not used it yet. Most of what I said about the regular shear applies to this one except that I don't have an older variant thinning shear. This is sharp, works and fits well enough for a left-handed person. I prefer a sharp point but this rounded for safety of the customer (good idea really). A little longer would be my preference but this seems to be in a standard size and that is fine. If you need one of these, the price for this item is great and it is quite a value.

Became hair dresser for family during covid - pt.2
After much research, I have found my magic tools.I have long hair.First, I use their Equinox Professional Hair Scissors.Second, use this Thinning Shear to give my hair softer look.I also trim my mom and niece's hair using both scissors. They have a good weight to them. Can manually tighten and loosen blades.Feels good on my hands. For reference, I'm a petite woman. It's not tight, not loose...fingers have decent room to move about while holding it.___My reason for buying:I didn't like to go to hair salons before covid. And during and post covid is no different.I'm all for pleasantries and such, sure. But not fond of chatty, gossipy, unsought comments, and asking discourteous questions hairdressers. I just want my haircut in peace. Now, if they are all that above, but give me a great haircut that is great and one that enhances my face, I'll suffer for the greater good. But most of them are mediocre at best and overly chatty with pointless content.Sitting through all that plus, price & tipping...I find it not worth the price.I mean, voluntarily putting myself in an unpleasant social situation let alone pay for it seems ridiculous. On rare occasions, I'd encounter talented hairdressers who cut hair that enhances my face. Designs hair cuts according to my face & facial structure. Honest about what works with me and what doesn't regardless of my request. Does not give me a factory-manufactured, off-the-conveyor belt style that grows out uneven and has to go back soon to get it evened out.Unfortunately, talented hairdressers I met soon move to salons that charge upwards of $100-180 + tip and I couldn't spend that kind of money on haircuts. I'm happy for them, but I was sad.Having experienced great hairstylists, the headache of dealing with bad hairdressers who chat their way into pretending to give a great haircut annoyed me. Blow-drying the heck out of my hair to make it look nice at the salon. But come to find out at home, it is uglier than before I entered the salon. This really made me consider, 'can I do this myself?'I spend my time, and money, and feeling bad afterward is a lose-lose outcome. So, I learned to cut my own hair to save myself the headache and money.

Sharp - don't snag hair - cut well.
I cut my own hair and prefer using thinning shears even when cutting a straight line so I wanted a sharp, quality pair that doesn't snag my hair. I also travel a lot and while regular shears are not allowed in a carry on bag, thinning shears are. You can find thinning shears for less, but these are the best priced pair without snagging reviews and I'm very happy with them.

Probably Wouldn't Recommend for Lefties
Decent, but not left-handed friendly. I noticed if I don't hold them at a certain angle, it doesn't really cut. But, I like the weight an the finger holes are fine. I'm sure there's better out there, but I won't be using them often, so it's sufficient for me.
