Having recently started dating an American born Polish woman, I wanted to become familiar with some traditional food that I could make her. This is the perfect cookbook. No fuss, traditional, and has a wide variety and quantity of recipes.

I've been trying to duplicate some of my Mother's Polish recipes. Had trouble reading her handwriting, plus everything was written in Polish. So I borrowed this book from the library. I borrowed it several times, so I decided to buy it. It has the Polish standard recipes I need.

Tho my mother was from Poland and she has bunch of Polish cookbooks but this one is her first "American" Polish cookbook that was written in English plus using our measurements in right way....She recognized some recipes but a lil different than she normally made...It's an awesome book and I dont cook Polish dinner often and that helped me whenever I borrow her book...Worth to buy it....even if you have daughter or daughter in law to pass this book along.

I was very happy with the variety of really good recipes.

Now, THIS Is a fairly comprehensive book of traditional Polish recipes. I'd recommend this to anyone starting out on a quest to recapture lost family traditions and/or expand one's Polish culinary repertoire. There are a good many very tasty dishes contained in this book that will be familiar to anyone who has sampled good Polish cooking.

Bought this as a gift to my brother who grew up with me eating my mom’s Polish cooking. Unfortunately, the book doesn’t seem to contain any of the recipes of the stuff I ate as a kid whether at home or at other Polish homes. I know times change but I would have thought at least some of the foods would have lasted through time. Kind of disappointed.

I was foolish enough not to pay closer attention to Mum and my Gran when they were cooking. Now I'm paying the price. I want to collect as many books as I can to start on my new venture. This book was a nice start.

These were gifts, but I know the book is excellent.

Solid no nonsense recipe book...comprehensive polish cookery

Looking for a gift for my family. This one does great. Having a cook in the family, he needed a recipe book to perfect the Polish cuisine.

This book has all of the recipes that my Polish grandmother used to make. I was never a fan of my grandmothers recipes (boiled cow head for example). I’d say it is a very authentic Polish cook book.
