Top Grade Swedish Raw Linseed
This is a top grade Swedish raw linseed oil made by Ottosson (confirmed with seller). The label shown in the product photo is out of date from when Atlas was sourcing their raw linseed from Viking Sales.Swedish linseed oil is superior because it has significantly higher percentages of linolenic and linoleic acids, which are major contributors to its quality.Atlas imports the oil in bulk and re-packages it for retail sale. Atlas Preservation is a superb company, focusing on the restoration and preservation marketplace, including stone restoration and cleaning (including gravestone restoration, which it conducts in clinics around the country), window and historic wood preservation, natural cleaning materials and a lot more. Excellent company and very responsive to customers.Highly recommended product and highly recommended company.

Simply and worth it
Got a brush and turned on some tunes, poured into a glass bowl and started. When using this product, I got enough on my hands from either the brush or wiping the drip down the bottle - I wasn’t freaked out some chemicals were on my skin. The wood I stained was cherry for garden boxes and they are so gorgeous- I sun baked them and this week I will put in soil to plant. Relaxing to know the flaxseed won’t poison my food or me! I have enough left, in 6 months per instructions to do outside (3 boxes) but might have to get more.

Good value
Ordered to use as a natural stain on some antique wood trim I am refinishing and so far the results have been quite nice. There is very little smell and no harsh chemicals which is also quite a bonus.

Best Wood Stain and Preservative
Works very well and doesn’t take much. If you work with wood a lot and like to preserve and restore the finish on your wood crafts, I would highly recommend this. I build a lot of raised garden beds and trellises from wood, mainly pine, and brings it up to the quality and life of cedar or redwood.

Great Organic Safe for Garden
Used this to stain my garden bed. Worked great and had plenty left over for a second coat. It’s the only organic raw linseed (flaxseed) oil I could find with enough to stain a garden bed.

Wood really sucks this up.
Used on dry fir plywood that soaked this up. Buy more than you think you’ll need.

Brings out the beauty of the wood
Brings out the beauty of the wood for our new back porch awning. Unlike the fast drying, no chemicals, but you do need to give it time to dry fully.

Organic Raw Linseed Oil
Good product. I use it to dilute linseed oil paint to use it as primer.
