MADE IN CHINA!!!I’ve bought other beans from this brand that are made in USA.Disappointed.

I love black beans. These were the first ones I’ve purchased online. I’ve made two batches from this order. They both taste great. I’m sure unpackaged that they are truly organic, but packages in this kind of plastic has me questioning. Put your nose in the bag and take a whiff, all you get is strong smell of chemical detergent. I’m certain that it’s related to the plastic container/bag. I’ve put the rest of the 10 lbs in glass jars and left them open, hoping to air them out. I’m hoping the company sees this review because they need to know that this is not okay.

One of the bags smelled fine...the other smelled like a moldy basement. I was very disappointed...I went ahead a put up in my vaccumn bags and hoped it was just my imagination. Well, I opened a bag today and it stinks to high heavens. I will try to cook it and see if it is eatable...hope it does not make us sick. Wasted $40.00.

No matter how long I soaked the beans, they were hard as rocks after cooking a fairly small batch for THREE HOURS! Tried cooking soaked beans in my Instant Pot - still hard. Tried cooking UNsoaked beans in Instant Pot - still hard. I read online that when that happens it means the beans are old. I checked the pull date on the bag and saw they were well within the date shown. I don't know what the deal is, but I will NOT waste my money on these again.

How can you go wrong with 10#s of black beans? I'm a black bean brownie junkie, not that I need 10#'s of beans to make brownies but if you need to they can be used for other recipes also, I guess. But seriously this is a great price on organic and with 10#'s the bag last a while. Being a barging bottom line shopper I end up with a lot of bulk iteams. The price was so good I couldn't afford not to purchase them.

I was disappointed by these as they were still hard after cooking in chili , canning & reheating. If you like chewy beans then these are for you. We usually raise & dry our own but, this year we had no time to do it & tried these (which perhaps, may be another type of black bean as ours are larger & do soften.

Hard after hours soaking (24h) and cooking (4h). This could mean that the beans are old, and have probably been stored for years, decades even. At first, I thought it was a bad batch, but no, this has happened with every bag that I've bought (this is my third). Not buying again.

I already tried to cook them for different length of times and nothing works. They are still hard and they don’t taste good. I tried soaking them for 12 hours, 24 hrs, and nothing. Seller should return the money for this product bc it’s not what they are advertising and it’s not edible. Won’t buy or recommend again.

I tried sprouting at least 4 times, but only about 0.5% actually ended up sprouting and it was the same every time. The plus side is that when I do end up giving up on the sprouting and cooking the beans, they cook very well, becoming very soft, though lacking in flavour.

I bought a large bag, 5 lbs and dried, as we will be making Black Bean Burgers. Recipes for these Vegan Burgers look so yummy! They are also Sproutable for extra nutrition, Non-GMO (so no glysophate) and organic. That is a big win for our health!

I would definitely recommend this product to others

To be fair, I didn’t actually eat these (used for a sensory table for preschool) but they were packaged great and seemed high quality.
