Great little radiator and a fun project
Requires a little bit of finishing work but it’s the perfect little radiator and heats an 10x12 room beautifully.

Failed
The other radiators in our house are 97 years old and so far work fine. We have had this radiator since August 2021. This morning, it failed and started spraying out water. What a mess.

strong chemical smell
Used this radiator for a bathroom remodel. The general finish on the cast iron was rough compared to old recyled radiators used in other projects. The radiator had been laid on its side on top of some type of fabric mat before the paint was dry and the fibers are embedded in the paint. Short of sanding down the paint I am not sure how to repair this. When 190 degree water was run through the radiator there was a very strong chemical oder. This is common with many appliances when they are first heated but in this case, the oder is weaker after 4 weeks but still very present. It is the first thing you notice walking into the room.
