Cleanses my skin with no irritation + I enjoy the delicate scent & the minimal aesthetic is on point
I must have been sleepy when I ordered this because I thought I was getting a toner, but when I opened it up, I realized it is more like a micellar water, as in you use it as a first step (like for makeup removal) rather than after washing your face. I didn't mind because as long as it is still effective, I am always up for a "lazy" cleansing option. I had heard good things about the Huxley brand, but this was the first one I had tried and so far, I like it. It feels light and refreshing when applied, and it does a good job at removing my makeup. I do wear minimal makeup most days, though, so I cannot say for certain how well it would work on heavier makeup. Afterward, my skin does feel clean and soft, although depending on how much I use, it can feel slightly tacky. I always do additional cleansing steps, so it is not a big deal for me, but someone who only uses this product might have an issue with it. I will say that even tacky, my skin still feels clean (I did not even notice until I accidentally touched my face). I have used other micellar waters in the past, including the famous Bioderma, and that one always left me feeling like I had a layer of something on my face, so it never felt truly clean. I have had no breakouts, redness or skin irritations from using this cleansing water.Although I prioritize the effectiveness over packaging, it is always a bonus when a product is also aesthetically pleasing. This bottle has a clean, minimal look - besides the product label in front, there is nothing additional, not even ingredients, so if that is something you want to read, I suggest you do so before throwing away the box! It is a firm bottle with a small hole to dispense from so you do have to shake it to get a few drops out. I would have preferred if the bottle had some give so I could squeeze it a little to get the product a bit easier, but it is not a dealbreaker. Even though I normally prefer unscented products because I can be sensitive to smells, I actually quite enjoy this one. To me, the scent is light and delicate, with a subtle hint of what smells like tropical botanicals, perhaps gardenia or something similar.I do prefer a two-step cleaning process of oil then foaming cleanser, but I like having micellar water for lazy nights. It is maybe a little on the pricier side of cleansing waters, but I think it is comparable to other Korean beauty products of a similar nature and level (I would consider Huxley a higher end mid-tier brand - not cheap but not luxury). I do not mind paying more for beauty products that work for me, so if it continues to work well, I would consider purchasing another.Huxley Secret of Sahara Cleansing Water Be Clean Be Moist 6.76 fl. oz.

Scent-Heavy Toner; More Luxury Than Practical
Korean skincare (as Huxley is a South Korean brand further manufactured in Paris, France) typically falls into one of two major camps, or along the spectrum between the two. The high-end, ingredient-conscious, with beautiful and simplistic packaging, free of colorants and fragrance or the epitome of cuteness in terms of adorable packaging, filled with less than ideal ingredients (added fragrances, added colorants, unnecessary essential oils that are not suitable for sensitive skin). Most things fall somewhere in between. I've used all sorts of products throughout the Korean beauty spectrum. This Huxley Secret of Sahara Cleansing Water, Be Clean, Be Moist is in the middle. It is more of a hydrating toner than cleansing water. It has tasteful, simple packaging. Thankfully, it comes with a safety seal because when mine arrived both the envelope it came in and the box had been worked open. Can't say if it happened by accident or purposefully. The only reason I elected to use it instead of returning it was because Huxley had the forethought to add a perforated plastic seal under the cap. It was intact. The bottle is solid, clear, with minimalist branding and a screw-on top. The watery liquid inside is clear, with a hint of seafoam green color. Not sure what the color comes from on the ingredient list. To me, and this is subjective to everyone I'm sure, it smells like rosewater and baby powder, two smells I hate. Not going to ding it for having an odor I don't personally like but I will take off a star for having any sent. Beauty products that are topically applied to the skin should be fragrance-free in my opinion. One of the top ingredients is "parfum," and further down "alcohol" which disappoints me. I don't find either of these things beneficial or hydrating for the skin. Worse, for mature or sensitive skin like mine. Otherwise, it appears to be loaded with all sorts of interesting and seemingly beneficial, hydrating ingredients. The application of this, with a flat cotton pad, feels luxurious and silky. Didn't really remove much for me, visibly, but it felt nice on my skin. But the scent, alcohol, citrus puts me off this product. It is certainly more of a luxury beauty item than a practical one. You get a fair amount, ~6.76oz, so cost-wise it is an ok value. Not expensive, not cheap. Somewhere in the middle.

Removes all traces of makeup but it is pricey!
Huxley Secret of Sahara Cleansing Water Be Clean effectively removes the last traces of makeup without stripping, drying, or irritating my sensitive, rosacea prone skin. After using a face wash, I apply some to a reusable cotton/bamboo cosmetic round, sweep it all over my face (including eyelids) and neck. It is always alarming how much my face wash leaves behind, regardless of the brand. However, I don't feel like a cleansing water does the complete job either, but it is a great way for me to completely cleanse without damaging my skin. The light scent is fresh and pleasant. Afterwards I apply my nighttime serum and moisturizer and I'm good to go. My skin has responded well to this extra cleansing step. I took one star off because it is pricey!

Very light but strong cleanser. It leaves my face feeling soft and clean.
I love this as a toner or third cleansing product to wipe away any excess dirt or makeup left from foam or oil cleansers. This product is also used as an morning cleansing water. It's soft on the skin but try to avoid getting it into your eyes because it will sting a bit. It cleans well, and even though I haven’t tested the exact pH level of it yet, based on experience, I think it’s not higher than 6.0. The skin still remains its natural softness after use. This cleanser also lathers pretty well, more foam than the CosRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser, and because of that, you don’t need much for each use, one full pump is more than enough. The only thing I would improve is the stickiness it leaves on your skin after. I have dry skin so I can usually tolerate sticky products well, but this is TOO sticky. At least it isn't stripping, though. It leaves my face feeling very hydrated and clean. I like to use the Huxley face pads when I use the cleansing water to help clear any excess dirt or makeup.
