The first set of flints broke immediately. The second set are holding up but takes a bit to get it going. Would recommend going the traditional flint route instead of this method. Looks nice and presentable enough for a gift, expect complaints about how it doesn't work though..

Of the two in the package that arrive the grey one looked and felt nice to the touch but the gold/brass one looked spotty and felt unpolished in comparison.Neither of the two I was able to get lit despite 30+ minutes trying on each between 3 different people. We got a small ignition with immediate extinguish twice total. On the other hand we were able to consistently get sparks to come off them both which I guess you could use to start the fire.If you want these just to be able to make sparks this is a good purchase, if you’re expecting a match sort of thing you’ll want to look elsewhere.

It works, but is not easy to light. It takes some time to get the wick into the right spot in order to get it to light.The seals seem very solid and it does have the ability to be lit several days after being filled. Also the flint is very consistent at generating sparks so as an emergancy fire starting source it is good but for everyday use I wouldn't recommend.

Pretty self explanatory, easy to use, the only downside is that I have to purchase the ñughter fluid separate

Doesn’t work

Works as advertised. It just takes a couple of strikes to get it going then first time, but it works well. My husband has it in his toolkit.it would be great for campers.

They only work a few times after filled with lighter fluids not enough flint either

This did not work at allI filled with fluid but it did not work.And although it came with 2 extra wicks, there was no instructions on how to replace those wicks.
