A STEAMING EAGLE PRODUCTION!
I have a lot of affection for this recording, a Colorado Dylan/Rolling Thunder Revue concert in Colorado broadcast on TV in 1976. I recorded it with a hand held mike off the telly, and I still have the tape. You may recall Bob and his band wearing knotted hankies on their heads. Some say the '76 Rolling Thunder was inferior to the tour of the year before. I actually think some of these versions are better than the Live 1975 ones. Also you get a rollicking 'I Pity the Poor Immigrant', simply the best ever version of that song. It's a bit like hearing Dylan backed by an augmented Crazy Horse at times. Ragged glory, indeed! PS What happened to 'Knocking on Heaven's Door'?Note: There is another CD called 'Live in Colorado, 1976,' which seems to be identical to this.

DYLAN AT HIS RAGGED BEST
I adore this cd which was originally a radio broadcast of a show at the Fort Collins Stadium in Colorado in May 1976. If it is polished sound you are looking for do not buy....................If you want passion then this is for you, Dylan spitting out the words as if his very life depends on it (watch the show on you tube it is fantastic, please please the powers that be, clean it up and put it out on DVD/Blue Ray pleeeeeease!). Many classics are re-arranged, the duets with Joan Baez are fantastic and it features hands down the best version ever of "I Pity the Poor Immigrant".WONDERFUL !

RAW AND UNPOLISHED BUT BRILLIANT
Yes the FM broadcast of a Dylan concert from the 1976 Rolling Thunder Revue, is Raw but that's it's charm. Some reviewers knock the sound quality, but I think it is very good for a radio broadcast from nearly 45 years ago. May not be to everybody's taste but I love it.

1976 live recording.
Interesting listening, Dylan at his raw best. The sound is a bit rough around the edges, but it is after all a live performance.Well worth buying.

Rolling Thunder Revisited
Good to revisit the Rolling Thunder Review. I recall watching this performance on TV first time around, glad to see it is now available for us old guys to appreciate all over again. Another chapter in my library of Bob's eclectic performances.

Ragged glory
Dylan at his raggedy best, ragged turban, voice raw with emotion with Joan Baez holding the melody together, band loose but holding it all together, Idiot wind literally sworn at you. Hard Rain complete .. why didn't we get this the first time. His final hour for a while?? Some people have mentioned sound quality, who wants this top quality, raw, ragged and no fancy production fit perfectly. If you are a Dylan fan its a must for the six new tracks.

but the quality is quite poor, therefore begs the question should it be left ...
Cant hear Joan on duosI know it's 40 years old,but the quality is quite poor, therefore begs the questionshould it be left in the vaults?I am a fan,saw him last year, and he came across as very arrogant, and does not give a toss about his audience...HE SHOULD GO TO SEE Leonard Cohen, and see how it should be done,Amazing lovely man.....
