Humax HDR-1100S 1TB Freesat with Freetime HD TV Recorder - White (Renewed)

To be honest, unless you checked this with a microscope, you would never guess it was a refurb. I've been a long-term user of Humax's Foxsat, and I was very disappointed when they stopped partnering with Freesat, so was happy to pick one of these up. It didn't come with a manual, which is a really tiny niggle as it's easy to find on the web, and it was completely reset. Happy to get rid of the awful and clunky new Freesat own -brand HDR and to get some Humax usability again. It's quick, dead easy to set up, and the smartphone app works a treat.

It's a shame Humax stopped making these but this "Amazon Renewed" example arrived in perfect condition with as far as I could tell a brand new factory sealed Humax remote control. The only thing missing was the original box which I would have thrown away anyway. There are video/audio out phono sockets on the back so it can be connected to a DVD recorder if required. It's been up and running for a few weeks now and is behaving perfectly. I thought an additional 2 years warranty would be a good idea as it's a used item and this cost an extra £20ish but seems worth it to me.

This is our second Humax box and I went for one of these over the current freesat own kit based solely on their very poor reviews about reliability. Our original Humax box lasted for ten years and still works but is a little temperamental so wanted to get a replacement before they disappeared. This looked brand new and worked without issue.

This Freesat box came well packaged and It was very hard to find any scratches or dents there was an old sticker mark on the side but a bit of rubbing alcohol got rid of that. the item is like new work straight out the box I am very happy with it and there is also a one year amazon guarantee so can’t complain. I’m not 100% sure if this box work with the app for recording programs the app dose change channels and the volume and turn the tv off but I’m still waiting for a program to record from the app. Update. had to remove all humax boxes on app and on website to get my recording to come up on the app and record remotely every thing working like a dream now.

I've had the Humax box for around a month. The box looks brand new and works well. I had BT TV previously and the tv guide was slightly better, the start up time of the Humax box is slow. Both things are a minor issues and I'm more than happy with this Satellite box.
