The drone came neatly packaged. It is very light and is recommended for indoors and outside use. I would not recommend using this outdoors if there is any measure of wind present as it might put unnecessary strain on the motors while the drone attempts to stabilize. Indoors is its ideal playground. When I examined the drone on a level surface, I found only three of the four feet were touching at any one time, so it was not exactly level. This does not hinder landing or performance but was worth noting. The battery charged very quickly and is better designed than past ones where the charger had a cord as did the battery. This current design minimizes cords which is a good thing. Once I installed the battery, I found what could be a design flaw that could affect long term use. Where the cable is attached to the drone it is subjected to being creased against the sharp edge of the body of the drone. I feel that this could cause damage to the cord of the drone requiring soldering in the future. Possibly trimming the body or creating a smooth separation for the cord to go through. Once I flew the drone it took a fair amount of trimming the stabilizers to maintain steadyflight. Please understand this is a TOY drone and nowhere near hobby-level so it will have its shortcomings on capabilities. It is responsive and a fast little drone! You can adjust the speeds on the overly large and hollow-feeling controller. I crashed it a few times and it comes with blade protectors already attached. It took the crash well, but you need to reset the drone after every crash which is pretty easy. It is well worth the money for some entertaining flying dynamics. The tricks are easy and fun to do just ensure you have enough clearance.

An excellent product at a low cost, wonderful for entering minors (even well below the recommended age) to the experience of this hobby, it would not make sense to invest in something more expensive to learn to become familiar with this device. It is a toy that allows you to give an experience, a nice memory and many smiles. Within the limitations of the light materials of the drones, it is due to my experience with other toys of this class, this drone is of good quality, quite compact (not indestructible, but resistant to the learning stage, obviously with many crashes) easy to handle; as I gave it to a little boy who took a matter of a day (8 charges) to understand (feel) the functions which (again) represented a lot of hits and even one of the blade broke but they come with 4 spare blades, with everything and this to me, the drone resistance surprised, considering the circumstances. The battery charge is good, gives a decent time of fun, and recharges quickly. Perhaps what I am going to say is going to sound a bit ambiguous, I have given away several of these toys, bought in different places and it is as I said quite compact, for example at Costco I have bought good ones and one bad one because was fragile, that perhaps it was not useful for the ages that I usually give away, however this drone for beginners it is very good, could improve with a kind of quick release connector, because at least it looks delicate to connect and disconnect the device itself and even the adults who attended the child commented that the little plug one is hard to unplug in and it's scary to desolder the little wires.

The media could not be loaded.  I was looking for something to replace a dead mini rc copter that ate a lot of batteries and was very difficult to fly.I wanted the replacement to be something with a rechargeable battery and could be flown both indoors and outdoors.I looked at a few mini-drones in the sub-$30 price point including the ones Amazon had recommended.This Holy Stone Mini Drone model garnered my attention because of the 2 rechargeable batteries and the take off button feature on the remote in addition to it being inexpensive.Once I received the drone I flew it in the evening in the backyard. Never having had flown a drone before, the learning curve on this model was not steep. The directions provided enough guidance to get the drone flying. Plus the LED lights on the drone proved to be valuable- there are red leds in the rear and blue in the front. Especially helpful when flying it in the dark or headed mode. In slightly windy conditions outdoors you may need to adjust how you fly lest the winds blow the drone further a flight then you desire.I have had a ball with this drone mostly my backyard. In low to minimal wind condition the drone does stay stable enough for my expectations.The trim works pretty good. The drone has a bit of zip too. I have flown it upwards of 50 feet overhead and 100 feet away without problems. Although I did get it caught it a tree once. Fortunately, the drone being lightweight, a breeze brought it down without damage.Indoors this drone is very capable. It can buzz around stably and even hit a wall and not be damaged. I enjoy using it outdoors more.I am impressed with the battery life of the 2 batteries. It seems like I get a little more that 8 flight minutes out of each.The drone is very sturdy. I have hit it off the house, bounced it off a wood fence, flown it through foliage and trees and the body and blades withstood the impacts.The remote is probably the weakest point on this drone. Though I like its looks cosmetically it feels light in the hands and the controls do not have a lot of resistance especially compared to the Air Hogs remotes I have used.I had a couple of incidents where it seemed the drone was uncontrollable but was thankful there was an landing button that brought the drone down safely. In the instructions there is also an emergency landing sequence you can press on the controllers to initiate.The drone flip button is entertaining. The one button launch and land are very helpful.I have not had the opportunity to use the drone in headless mode nor have I used the speed controls a lot because it is easy and fun in its standard mode.I lost a blade in a crash and had to replace it with one of the spares. However, not being too drone knowledgeable I placed the wrong blade on and found out the drone did not fly right. After examining the blades I found the blades were marked for their position. Each blade is unique to its position. I installed the correct blade andwas back flying shortly afterward. It would have been helpful if there was some guidance in the instructions concerning the blade replacement.Be careful removing the battery after flight, with too much force I would suspect one may break off the battery jumper on the drone.Based on my experience with other small flying RC things, this is one impressive inexpensive mini drone. I give it the 4 stars because of durability, battery life, and ease of use. I have enjoyed flying it.The few cons are the remote and the absence of instructions for blade replacement . They are not deal breakers.
