The media could not be loaded.        I saw this guitar had only 1 review, someone who hated it, and I needed to add my opposite experience.I purchased this guitar through Amazon (you can see up there that it is a 'Verified Purchase'). I had never played a Luna guitar before, held one, or even seen one in person. Yet, I couldn't get the images of them out of my mind, and eventually, seeing a great price on Amazon, I made it my own birthday present. True, the shipping packing was completely substandard. Yet the guitar arrived 99% intact (and Amazon gave me a 20% refund for the ding).It plays, sounds, and looks gorgeous. It is a joy to pick up and hold, to play, to listen to as I create music. The action is great, the neck silky and responsive and fast. The notes are percussive and pure and wonderfully intonated - it is as much in tune on the twelfth fret as at the 5th as it is open. It isn't as loud as some of the other acoustic guitars I've owned, but I love it the most of them all. I've never owned a $800+ acoustic, but I do go down to the local guitar store on occasion and sit in the back room and pretend I'm going to buy a Taylor or a Guild someday, though to be honest, they don't feel or sound any better to me than this.I am sure you can get a sense that the guitar sounds magnificent.So, while I doubt the other review who hated their guitar is lying, just know that isn't the only experience. In fact, as you look around at all the Luna guitar reviews, you will see a vast majority of buyers feel the guitar exceeded their highest expectations. I know mine did. Basically that person got a guitar in bad shape, it was really a shipping issue, not a review of the product. If you look at the score of reviews for this identical model in another color, overwhelmingly positive, and of course those are really the same guitar, just a different color. There is no true difference.Hope this helps.

The guitar was busted when it arrived. At first I wanted to chalk it up to the poor condition of the box that it was shipped in, but then I realized that the construction of the guitar was a disaster...The head had a gash in it, the paint was chipped all over and the electric jack was falling out of the bottom. Needless to say I sent it back. I was VERY disappointed this was a gift for my niece and it ruined her birthday to have it be in this shameful condition.

for a guitar that costs almost £500 rrp, its sadly lacking in finish quality. the rosette around the hole is cracked, under the lacquer, there are a few minor troughs in the finish and the binding is marked in a few places. the action is fine, but there is some fret buzz - nothing tragic, and not quite figured out if it is the summer temperature or the neck. hardware is generally good, tuner is fine, and the inclusion of the XLR jack is a bonus. plugged in, the sound tends to get a little boomy and muffled, but acceptable.having said the negatives, the positives are that at least acoustically, this guitar does indeed play great. it has a certain x factor to its playability which I cannot quite pin down. its the whole hippy-chick vibe perhaps? maple on maple with a mahogany neck makes it bright and zingy without being too thin and crispy. I have owned several budget to mid range acoustics, and at full price at least, this is well within the mid range. have to say, I think this is the best sounding (acoustically) of the lot.plus it looks real cool and I got it for less than half price.and amazon managed to deliver it on time! despite dispatching a day late! whaddya know...

I got this from the warehouse, so it was "used". Actually it came brand new, probably the previous owner sent it back as soon as (s)he received.In this case I think it was a good deal, luna's are quite good instrument, so paying 1/3 of the actual price let me feel lucky.I love the color othe the body, and the moon-phase-shaped-dot on the neck give linear "meaning" to the brand, as well as the decoration around the hole.The preamp is ok, with tuner and phase button. I love the 2 second output option (jack and xlr), giving me more possibilities.

Very nice looking guitar with a good range of tones that don't lean too far in any direction. Good action and easy to play/. The crescent moon around the sound hole is a nice touch. Very good inbuilt tuner and has jack and XLR outputs. The purple may not be to everyone;'s taste but is certainly eye catching
