Size Matters
I used this to replace an old heavy noisy halogen transformer in a 25 year old IKEA light fixture. The small size fit inside the old housing perfectly and it works great with the new led MR-16 bulbs. I only wish it dimmed but for the price and size itโs a great value. I do not have a long delay before the lights come on like others have said. It had a slight delay the first few times I used it but now itโs totally not noticeable at all.

Works but wonโt fit in 1-gang box
One has been driving LEDs surrounding a vanity mirror for over a year. I purchased a second to drive LED cabinet lights. They work great, but I deducted a star due to the small, crimped connection on the high voltage (120VAC in my case) side and the locations of the connectors and mounting tabs. These are obviously meant for permanent installations, however the crimp connection is too small to accommodate even 16-ga. romex wiring and the mounting tabs, high voltage AC connection, and 12VDC connection stick out about 1/4โ too far too allow mounting in a standard single-gang, in-the-wall or surface mount electrical box. Since this is hard-wired in most LED installations and uses 120VAC, it would need to be installed in a box to meet electric codes due to the way the high voltage side is wired. If the PCB could be altered to move the mounting tabs and terminals from the sides to the top and/or bottom (I.e., move the external parts 90 degrees), it would fit in most standard 1-gang electrical boxes and greatly simplifying permanent or semi-permanent installations.

Works as it should
Transformer purchased for use with 45Watt 12V underwater LED RGB pool light. A week after installation, no problems were found. The transformer was bought "Used like New", but I didn't notice any difference with the new one, except for the price. Fast delivery, careful packaging, included covers for connection ports and screws. Hope it lasts a long time. Thank you, Amazon for great service - as always!

It is not a 60 Watt power supply
I bought this because the product page said it is rated at 60 watts and could be used to power G4 lights. Out of the package it looked like it was going to be perfect - I saw none of the defects mentioned in the one-star reviews. Installation was a snap and then... the lights wouldn't come on. I had earlier verified (using an old computer power supply) that the 5 lights drew just over 4 amps at 12 volts, or 50 watts, so I thought I had a defective unit. Further testing with a meter verified that it would produce 12 volts in open circuit and light up a single bulb so I reinstalled it and started removing bulbs one by one. When I was down to three (30 watts), they finally lit up. This means that the overload protection kicks in way too early so if you want to a supply for low-power LED lights, it might work for you but you're probably not going to get 50 Watts out of it (unless it's just a quality control issue and not a bad design). Returning it now.

Drives a 12v brushless fountain pump perfectly
I recently built an outdoor fountain, which is driven by a 12 volt brushless DC pump. The fountain is probably 50 ft from the nearest AC source which is why I went 12 volt and just ran low voltage wiring across the yard. I mounted this power supply inside of a three gang weatherproof box, along with one decora style on off switch in the 120 volt side of the line, which is fed from a GFCI receptacle. The pump draws roughly 1.5 amps and this power supply runs it perfectly and stays cool. I only run it in the evening so hopefully it will do okay in 120ยฐ Arizona summers.

It works, but the delay is annoying
I replaced a halogen transformer that was causing my LED replacement lights to flicker. This transformer fit inside the round ceiling fixture but didn't have a hole in the center like the original. That wasn't a problem. The lights no longer flicker and there is no buzzing. It is great except for the 2-sec delay in starting- which is covered in the description. So the description is accurate, and the product does do what it is supposed to. It is just really annoying. Not, however, as annoying as buzzing and flickering LEDs lights. Would I buy it again, yes because I could not find a transformer that had the correct power rating and size that would instant on. It has been installed for about 6 weeks now. If something changes, I'll update the review. If the review has not been updated, it is still working properly. Hit the helpful button please. Thanks!

Best way to fix halogen track lighting systems
The transformer in our dinning room track lighting system went out and it was not a replaceable unit. I finally found a way to get rid of the high wattage, hot halogen lights. This Coolwest transformer was perfect for supplying the the correct power needed for the 5 - LED MR16 I installed the the original track lighting system. No more high wattage (175w), no more too hot touch lamps. The Coolwest transformer was easy to install and secure inside the original track light base and with the 5 - LED MR16 lamps total wattage was only 25 watts. No need to throw away your track lighting system, just convert it to low watt and cool LED's.

Compact LED driver, not the best hard wire installation
The unit is small and compact. It was difficult to install because of the gauge of wire that it will fit. Also it gets very hot.
