High praise for the Powr Labs Bluetooth HRM
I’ve had a great experience with the Powr Labs Bluetooth HRM. I was looking for something to replace my Peloton chest strap HRM, which was cumbersome, uncomfortable and inaccurate. The armband HRM from Powr Labs is an ideal solution for my needs, and I expect many other people as well. It’s easy to connect to Peloton via Bluetooth. The heart rate readings are very close to my Apple watch, whereas the Peloton chest strap readings were very different. So the consistency is key. I also have not experienced any dropouts in the readings with the Powr Labs HRM, unlike the Peloton chest strap, which dropped out all the time. The battery life is also a plus. I’ve been using it pretty much every day for a month without charging it, and the battery is still above 60%.I don’t normally write reviews on Amazon, but this HRM from Powr Labs has had such a positive impact on my ability to track heart rate and output during workouts. So simple but very effective and really helpful for me. I hope the same for you.

Heart rate monitor for runners
The media could not be loaded. This is my second one. I liked it so much I gave one to my friend and bought another one. It works great. I usually use it on my bicep when I run. It’s comfortable and doesn’t bother me at all. It charges fast and it’s easy to connect to. It doesn’t come with a charging block but connects to any usb block. It’s light weight. Great simple and good price heart rate monitor I would recommend to any runner.

Stopped working on my Peloton Bike
March 10, 2023To all I have revised my previous Amazon survey and review on my PowrLabs HRM. I am a happy customer. I have received overwhelming and very helpful technical support from the PowrLabs tech team. The most surprising aspect of this review process from previous unfavorable review was the very understanding and most accommodating support from the Founder and Owner of the company. I experienced the most gracious, top to bottom, technical support I ever received. My PowrLabs HRM is successfully paired and working as expected. It's the most cost-effective device of its kind. I am a happy customer.November 2022, I received my Powrlab Heart Rate Monitor (wrist, arms) version. I was able to easily setup the device and configure to my Peloton Exercise Bike. As of last week, it stopped working and a brief hiatus from my Peloton Bike exercises, I was no longer able to view the Powrlabs heart monitor rate displayed on my Peloton bike table nor my TV. Today, I called Peloton Tech Support, after many logistical and basic troubleshooting steps, there was No change. I would return the device, but I am just passed my return day “window” date January 31, 2023.I have updated my firmware and I managed to revert to a previous firmware version, with the help of Peloton tech support. After recycling the power on the bike, I managed to pair the heart monitor to the Peloton Tablet, Apple Watch (the two device limit). All should be working, as I have previously experienced, all except the Powrlabs monitor readings not being displayed on any device. If I did not have the good professional Peloton tech support, I would have felt, somehow Peloton blocked the pairing of the block, so I would purchase their heart monitor, but I have enough technical experience to know this is not the case. So, I will continue to try and get this device to work.

Unreliable HRM Can't Recommend buy Polar HRM instead
Was using a Polar OH1+ HRM but returned it due to the "short" battery life of 12 hours, though it does let you store up to 200 hours of data for solo use that you can upload later. Thought that this Power Labs Armband HRM would be better since it has 60 hours of battery life, so bought it. Found out that it uses only 2 green LEDs to get HRM data while the Polar seems to use 6! I got great reliability with the Polar OH1+ and liked it other than the 12 hours battery life. Also, the Polar uses an elastic armband which kept it snug without bothering my arm circulation. The Power Labs does not use an elastic armband but what to me looks like material that will not last long and will deteriorate though that is just my first impression. I tested it and it did not give me reliable heart rate data, showing my heart rate spiking up to 180 when it was in a warm-up state of near 100 bpm. Polar OH1+ was at the same location on my arm and gave great results, and was the same tightness. Can not recommend the Power Labs Armband HRM. But the Polar armband instead. They have a newer model than the OH1+ now. The Power Labs did connect easily to the sports watch.

Excellent armband HRM. A definite buy if price discounted against Wahoo, Polar, etc.
In my initial use of the Powr Labs Armband Heart Rate Monitor it seems to be an excellent workout HRM. I can't see how similar units from Wahoo and Polar could be any better. It paired easily with my smartphone fitness tracker. Considering that the basic technology involved is available in countless "fitness watches" selling for half or less it seems the main thing you're paying for when you buy this type of dedicated bluetooth heart rate sensor is the ability to pair with various smartphone apps and exercise equipment. The only "complaints" I have are really just observations. For one, the dedicated charging cradle has a very short cable, only about a foot or so. Two to three feet would have been more practical. And despite all the blah blah blah in Powr's promos about "Born in the mountains of Park City Utah" the device is obviously made in China and the instructions are written in that distinctively awkward English that indicates that whomever wrote them was not a native English speaker. The alerts section in particular leaves a user puzzled as to what they are intending to say about the alerts occurring or what they mean. The Powr website is pretty bare bones and doesn't look like lot of time was spent on the project. All that said the device works well, is easy to setup and is comfortable to wear. If you can find it on offer price discounted to Wahoo and Polar it's a good buy.
