Okay, sooo.. I have been buying all sorts of Blackstone accessories for my hubby since he got his new toy, but I was SUPER excited about these gloves. He has burnt himself a handful of times already, being a novice, so I insisted we get him protection.I presented him these gloves, good for when he is moving a hot pan or has his arm close to the surface for cleaning, and he looked at me like I was nuts. He was sure the blue stuff would "melt off" or that the gloves wouldn't actually work. So I told him I would grab his hot griddle with a glove on just to test functionality. Yeah, I'm a little daring, I admit it. But having worked in kitchens for years, I also love to know whether things truly can protect from oven/stove burns.These gloves are t h i c k, double layer shown in photo. They feel a bit bulky at first, but oh. My. Goodness! They work SO well. I grabbed the hot griddle, as planned, and felt NOTHING. The blue stuff, despite my husband's scientific "knowledge," did NOT melt.The only thing to be aware of is that these gloves sort of fit like a large in the hand, but can be snug in the upper arm. Not an issue since they're only briefly worn, but just something to consider. My hubby also jokes that they'll keep his hands warm when he is cooking in the winter, so he seems pleased with the thickness.

I love these gloves, they work so well and my hands definitely do not feel hot especially when it’s 90 degrees out. My only complaint is that they are for large hands and I have more petite hands. I found that if I wore one and used my other hand for using my thermometer it worked great! Thank you for such a great product.

I bought it to use in the kitchen. Feel much safer than when using towel or pot-holder.I like:1. They are long, protect the wrist and partially forearm.2. Silicon cover prevents slipping.3. Overall quality looks good.I don’t like1. They are really big, I prefer they have different sizes for smaller hands.

Have you ever wondered how much easier it would be to BBQ if your hand didn’t keep getting burned when you are trying to flip meat around or just handling stuff on the grill? Well you don’t need to think anymore, there is a way and it is through these gloves.I didn’t put them through the test of 1472 degrees but I was able to not burn my hands by doing the regular tasks around the grill.I did however realize that even though it is very effective at being used for over the grill, it should not by mistaken as an oven mitt. Tried to take a pan with this out of the oven and you will feel the heat. I didn’t burn my hand or anything, but you will slightly feel the heat by touching a really hot pan from the oven.Considering I use this solely for grilling it does an excellent job and I can’t see myself doing it anymore without these!

These gloves are great! I recently bought one from Lowes and didn't realize they sell them ONE GLOVE at a time. Who the hell does that?! For the same price, I bought these, and with the same quality and cool silicone grips. I use them for my 22" Weber Kettle Grill, and they're fantastic keeping my hands safe and smoke-free with a generous sleeve length that goes well past my watch. It's also handy with the quickstart chimney for charcoals, and the occasional hot plate transfer. Just don't use them to carry heavy scorching items without testing them first. That's not what they're made for, and no glove with dexterity will keep your hands safe for very long under those conditions.

These are exactly what I was looking for in terms of gloves for smoking!! They are great at protecting me from the heat of the fire when I add sticks. Also when I used them to pull a brisket off to wrap I was able to still do what I needed to do with having to take them off.As you can see by the picture the go high on the forearm and give you PLENTY of protection.Then once I was done a good soak and wring out and let the dry and you are ready for the next cook.

I have a very large barbecue grill and every time I lift the lid up it seems to burn my forearm these gloves protect my arm I didn’t even feel the heat! I wish I’d found them sooner, I also use them in the kitchen taking things out of the oven they’re easy to wear, and easy to takeoff, and I don’t burn my fingers anymore. I got the blue color, but I do recommend these for anyone that barbecues a lot, or cooks in the kitchen A lot.

they are thick, but still flexible, unlike the bulkier rubber type i saw at Home Depot. i'm actually really surprised how well they insulated my hands, nothing burned or even got really hot inside. comfortable, or as much as can be expected for thick heat resistant gloves, and fit snugly on my forearm which i like better than the open gauntlet style of the rubber ones.can't ask for morewell madecomfortablestops the heatreasonable price
