Works great! Stinks to high heaven!
We ordered this fly trap because we kept having flies bite us as we sat at our patio drying off after getting out of pool. First day I got it, in the morning I hung it under the eaves of our tractor shed. That afternoon we all hopped in the pool which is near the patio and both are maybe 400 ft. from the shed. My wife suddenly turned around and asked me "What IS THAT?" I pointed to the corner of the shed. I guess the wind had changed direction or something because suddenly she was gagging. I told her where I had hung it and she insisted I get out of the pool then and there and take it "far, far away". When I went to move it, it was already almost 1/3 full of flies, and I'm not sure if it was because of our Mississippi heat for 4 or 5 hours or the dead flies in there or what, but somehow it smelled even worse than when I had first put it out. My wife and daughter watched as I moved it another five or six hundred feet down the hill and hung it in a tree at the edge of our woods. It sloshed around a little bit and I couldn't help it...I started gagging real bad. My wife was laughing from the pool as I dry heaved. The closest thing I can compare the smell to would-be the latrines out in the heat when I was deployed in Kuwait. Maybe toss in some rotten meat smell too. I can see why the flies were highly attracted to it. I cautiously checked it three days later and it was completely full of flies. If you can find a good place to put this near your home or barn where you won't be around it, it is fantastic. I think it would be awesome around a barn because I did see a lot of horse flies in the trap. Just beware if you have a weak stomach. Do NOT open it inside your house or anywhere where you don't want a stench if you were to spill it. I showed it to my father-in-law who thinks it would be the ultimate tool for a prank. All in all I highly recommend it for getting rid of flies.

It works!! It really does! But, please call the hazmat team. 😩
Pros: — Attracts and catches flies like no tomorrow! Man. I didn't know so many flies existed in my back yard! I'm pretty sure if these flies were smart, the amount caught could probably fly away with the trap. It looked like hundreds.. — Easy Set up! You pour the contents of the pouch in the container, fill with warm water to the fill line, swirl, and presto! EZ-PZ. — Comes with a hanger! You can hook it up to a hook, or even just the ol' rusty nail and it'll stay there. Ours were sent with 2 ties we can use, but I recommend using zip-ties or something sturdier for long-term use. — Easy Clean-up GET A HOSE AND BLAST IT. Works every time. Don't empty this in the house. Cons: — OH MY DAYS THE SMMMELLLLLLLLLL This thing is FUNKY. F U N K Y. F O N K Y. After it's been out for like a week or however long you want to use it (So far, my pouch has lasted only 1 week in summer temps.) BABY PLEASE PREPARE YOURSELF. It. Will. STINK. The other reviews did not lie at all, it's horrible 😭😭😭. EMPTY IT OUTSIDE. PREFERRABLY IN A BAG. Maybe with a plague doctor mask. Maybe cancel the subscription to your olfactories first. Call a hazmat team, maybe. 😩 It legit smells like vomit, feces, decay, depression, and a little bit of razzle dazzle (moldy cheese)—but if you can get past that, then it's all good! Overall? It does what it's suppose to do. We use to have about 15+ flies DAILY in the house, but after putting this trap up? 1 to 2 maybe, but barely that. AND ITS REUSABLE! SLAY!

#MurderingFlies
OMG this thing is amazing! We are using it at our cottage on the lake and we have always had a lot of flies buzzing around, but I actually purchased this hoping it would get rid of the sand flies/fleas/gnats that are so annoying in the spring/early summer. I am sad to say this does NOT work for those, but it is INCREDIBLE how well it works for the regular annoying flies!!! I originally purchased a 3-pack of the quart'ish size containers that had a bait and chain included with each trap. I mixed up the bait as instructed and agree with many of the reviewers that this smells, so I brought them outside to fill the next two. I immediately had flies attracted to the trap while filling them!!! It says to wait a couple hours before placing the traps (guessing to let the bait dissolve), which I only did the first time because it stinks up the house. I hung the traps and within hours every trap had so many flies I couldn't even count them!! By the next day they were 3/4 full in the morning, so I added some water (not fun when there are flies swarming around you as you do this) and by the evening, the traps were filled to the brim!!! I then ordered three more traps to increase the coverage on our property, but sadly I did not check the description close enough because the 3 I ordered did not come with chains, just the trap and one bait pack each. Luckily we have some wooded land on our property, so I just take the full traps out back and fling all the dead carcasses back there. With as fast as these traps are filling, there is no way I can possible remove the carcasses and reuse the bait again, nor would I even want to try because it really smells like death has truly warmed over...so gross!! I cannot imagine cleaning the traps either, until the end of the year when I put them away for the season. Thankfully I had purchased some refill bait packets (StarBar brand) when I got the traps originally, and I highly recommend doing this if you are buying the traps. These refills smell the same as the Fly Magnet bait and are almost more effective, because I am refilling my traps within 24 hours!!! The StarBar refills have way more bait than the Fly Magnet came with, so (being thrifty) I am going to try and use 1/3 of the bait refill in each trap to see if it works just as well as a full pack does. I figure it smells the same, so they will be attracted to it. I will find out today if this works! I highly recommend this product for anyone trying to rid themselves of flies. Again, this does not work on sand flies/fleas/gnats, but it does an amazing job on flies. I am interested to find out if they work on the hornets, yellow jackets and other non-honey bees as one of the reviewers stated. If that is the case, I am buying a bunch of these for my home as our fruit trees are magnets for bees in the late summer/fall. If I could, I would give this 10 stars it is so amazing!!! I never review products, but this one deserves all the accolades they can get! Wish I invented it!!!

Great fly trap 👍🏼
Works great at keeping flies away from our doors and from entering our house! We set the trap about 6 ft away from the door. It's been up for 3 days now (8/11) and it’s trapped so many flies! We noticed a significant difference since the day we set it up. No flies have gotten into our house. We have noticed there is a slight smell (randomly) but nothing too disturbing to deter us from continuing to use it. 4 stars bc we're waiting to see how the disposal and refill process goes. Will update on that.

Reusable and catches those lil buggers!!!
Caught about 500 flies in a week span during summer in texas. This thing works well. It was simple to use, had no smell at all, clear instructions and didn’t have to worry about a bag busting all over the place. It’s also reusable!!

Flypocalypse Neutralized—But My Nose May Never Forgive Me!
Listen, if flies are throwing raves in your backyard, this trap shuts the party down—hard. I cannot understate how absurdly effective these are. It’s like a five-star buffet for flies: they flock to the bait like stink on... well, let's just say they RSVP fast and don’t leave. Now, let’s talk about emptying the trap. It’s... an experience. Picture a smell so fierce it could knock the memory of your grandmother’s apple pie straight out of your head. But hey, better that than playing swat-a-fly while trying to enjoy a beverage (or two) on the patio. Pro tips: Do not spill the bait unless you want to host the sequel. One drop in the wrong spot and you'll have a fly convention in minutes. Have bait refills on standby! Once you empy the trap (in about 1 to 2 weeks) it will not take very long for the fly armageddon to start backup. So you need to immediatley fill the trap with bait again. And why are the refill packs more expensive here than at my local hardware store? I thought Prime meant premium service, not premium pricing. Bottom line: This trap works terrifyingly well. It’s gross in all the right ways, and your outdoor peace is worth every gag-inducing emptying session.

Rancid but effective chatbot, i mean maggot killer
Very effective but probably no more effective than inexpensive blood or bone or feather meal, with a system of entry without exit, i figures id leave that to the pros, but the bloodmeal is abundant and cheap as hell once you have the device. it smells exactly as bad as reviews mention, rancid, dont consider this an indoot solution but thats how good ive become, i go on fly hunts if they are inside and at that point its castle docterine.

Awesome fly killer
This thing works like a charm, it really does catch and kill flies. The only downside is it gets stinky after a few days to a week but to be fair it’s not the product, it’s all the dead flies. I’ve ordered a handful of them and even purchased refills.
