Adequate heat, but the high and low settings are close to eachother
These work pretty darn well in most circumstances. They're good because they install within the handlebars, and should be far more durable than the grip heaters that install under the grips: I usually wound up replacing those once a year. I don't like the fact that these take a little longer to warm up than other styles of grip heaters: they must heat up the metal of the handlebar before you can feel heat through the grips. If you have these on a motorcycle, at higher highway speeds the heat is very hard to feel as the wind chills the metal of the handlebars. All in all, I prefer these to the fragile adhesive grip heaters that install under the grips, and they should last forever! UPDATE: changed rating from four to five stars. I've learned to live with the high and low settings, it is now only a minor annoyance and I simply turn the grip heaters off when they get warm enough. Additionally, I was able to use these when it was absoloutly freezing (literally) outside with the addition of a thin pair of gloves and: Kwik Tek ScootR Logic Hand Mitts I know you may be wondering why all the trouble. But at highway speeds, the wind chills the bars and your hands if you are wearing only gloves. With the addition of the handlebar muffs, the opposite was true, the grips were trying to cook my hands! on the highway! at 70 miles per hour! when it was below freezing! when I'm wearing a thin pair of gloves the heat is bearable without turning the switch on and off. Also, I've dropped my dual sport multiple times, been through many sets of grips, bent the bars, etc. etc. and these continue to work just as good as day one. I would not hesitate to recommend these to anyone!

wiring diagram was good. Installation went very well
Quality product, made in USA. The directions did not show which lead was high heat and which was low heat, ohmed leads and determined red trace wire was high, black was low heat, and white trace neutral/ground. Other than that, wiring diagram was good. Installation went very well. Heaters take a bit longer to heat up but well worth the wait as there are no wires being twisted with the throttle. These heaters are advertised as snow mobile heaters but work very well with motorcycle handlebars. The two heat settings, low and high are two separate windings so no resistor needed.I am very pleased with the quality and performance of these heaters. I recommend Polly Heaters for anyone considering heated bar grips.

I never installed these on my bike - didn't like the idea of drilling holes into the handlebars
I never installed these on my bike - didn't like the idea of drilling holes into the handlebars. Basically wasted my money on something that's to this day sitting in a drawer somewhere - info should have offered more details, I wouldn't have gotten it.

Heaters that work great.
These heaters work great and get HOT! The only drawback is that since they bascially have to warm the bar first, before getting through the grip to your fingers, they take a little longer to warm up than other grips out there, but once they warm up, they stay hot for a while. These fit fine in 7/8" steel handlebars, but be aware that they will not have enough clearance if using them in an Aluminum bar. Kind of a bummer because I would love to install a pair on my second bike, but it has 1 1/8" aluminum bars.

PH 200 Polly Heaters, Handlebar Grip Heaters
Polly PH200 handlebar grip heater Easy instructions to follow came with the heaters. I included an inline fuse which I purchased at a local auto parts store for $2.50. And instead of using the wire nuts I also soldered and used heat shrink tubing on all my splices. The handlebar grip heaters work great. I don't know how I lived without them for so many years. I would like to add. the price is very fair. plus free shipping.

I was at first skeptical as to the quality of this item but once it arrived and I put it to use on my own bike it worked out to be very good.

Works great.
These work great, left grip gets warmer than throttle side, but thatโs to be expected.
