Jonathan Green (10820) Fast Grow Grass Seed - Cool Season Lawn Seed (3 lb)

I wasn't expecting much but this worked great. I had a pool put in last summer turning my yard into a big mud slide. I temporarily put fake grass down on most of it. But this summer I wanted to see if I could get some grass to grow. I have a lawn guy, but I still have a deck to do so I decided to give this a try and he could do his magic if it didn't work when he starts his service later this month after the deck is up.I must admit I didn't follow many of the directions. I just sprinkled some seed a couple of weeks ago when I knew there would be a rainy week. Other than the rain the weather wasn't great, we were going from 80 degrees all the way down to 30 some nights. I figured if it didn't work I can try again. I only did about half my yard to see how it does. Two weeks later and it's growing nicely almost everywhere except for a couple of areas with really compacted clay soil. Did I mention we have horrible soil? I had another bag so I aerated those spots and raked some top soil in before I sprinkled more seed. I also added seed to more of my yard except for the area where they will be working on my deck. I am more than thrilled with the result. Excited that this year I'll have grass in my yard again.

This is the only grass seed I ever buy any more. It has a mix of annual and perennial grasses, so it germinates within a few days, then the other grasses start germinating as the first annual mix is maturing. Stays green, and is a good value for the money. I would highly recommend this product. Thanks again, Amazon. -Bud

I ordered two bags of this seed last spring and had a decent beginning of a lawn a few months later. I started with pretty much just dirt and a couple trees and ended up with a nice covering, certainly not a lush lawn but something that looks like a lawn from the street, mows easily and grows quickly. I have an average sized front yard, about 60X30 and two bags of this seed did a good job. I'll add more this spring. What I especially liked about this particular seed is that it sprouted within a couple weeks and actually looked like grass within a month. The birds didn't eat much - I did cover it withloose soil - and it grows very well in the shaded area of my Oak and Sugar Maple. I let the seed go almost two months before cutting the first time in order to grow some deep roots and keep the mower deck up about 3" with a weekly trim during the summer and fall. We'll see how well it does after this Wisconsin winter it's first full year on the ground.

This is truly the best fast-growing grass I have ever used.

Thought this would be much better than advertised. Just your typical seed.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect as the reviews for this product. Summer are good in summer bad however personally I have had nothing but good results as the color is bright green and there is lots of grass that has come up after planting. Yes, it did take roughly Close to a month for the grass to grow as thick as it as grown, but I am very pleased with my results.You will see in the two pictures on the left-hand side. I did not plant grass there however, on the right hand side, the grass is full where I planted grass.The grass is a little spotty, so I will be planting more however, I am happy with what I have so far. I am located in Fort Worth, Texas, and this product has worked for me.

Should be called no grow. I planted the seeds to spot fill several areas of the yard and NOT one bladenof grass came up, even though other seed I had also just planted sprouted fine. This seed was old or defective

The best of the best. I have seen nothing like this and tried seeds 3 times the price with no results. This stuff grew like crazy and so beautiful
