It is fairly fine and threads might show on the back but it is cheap enough to give it a try. I use it for patchwork. It is more substantial than poly cottons but a little bit light really. A needle goes through the threads quite easily. **Q: Is the fabric prewashed or shrink free please** A: I have had no problem at all **Q: I need 2 x 3metres of this as one piece not a metre each, how do I order?** A: It does say anything over one metre will come as one piece, so just order six metres and cut in half! For two x 3 metres. If you meant 2 m x 3 m, you would need to order 5 m and have a join down the length 50cm in from one edge. **Q: Would this make a good tablecloth 6ft by 2.6 table** A: Hello, no I don't think it's suitable for a tablecloth. Its suitable for cot sheets, craft backings etc I expect you will have a thicker cotton for a tablecloth.
