NT Cutter PRO Auto-Lock Stainless Steel Utility Knife (A-1P) 9mm

I ordered these for my father in law who loves them. He likes how simple and easy they are to use. They are nice and light. He likes how he can just snap the blade to have a new sharp end. It is a great buy for the coat.

I still have it, and the blade hasn't lost its edge; it's a very good knife.

Firstly, I have been holding off getting a quality blade holder like this because I didn't know if it was worth it. Finally bit the bullet the other day and WISH I had done this years ago. I learned of this brand from Adam Savage's TESTED channel on YouTube and found this model shortly after. If it's good enough for his shop it's good enough for ANYONE (short of window tinters and wrappers who should use the plastic version). This tool is incredibly rigid, being made from stamped and folded stainless steel. There is no flex and almost NO blade play. I love the symmetrical design. I am left handed and nothing irks me more than a tool not designed ergonomically for my use. All I had to do was flip the blade over in 10 seconds and it's perfect for me now. This tool weighs virtually NOTHING. I could carry it in my pocket and not feel it at all for a whole day. I also trust the lock design way more than cheap plastic versions of this tool. Quality of cut depends on the blades you use within the tool, but the included blade is incredibly sharp and even cuts through cardboard like it's nothing. My last comment is on the feel and sound of the mechanism. I cannot begin to describe how firm it feels in the hand but also how smooth it is to move the slider. It almost seems paradoxical; the sound alone is incredibly pleasing to the ear.

I grabbed the NT Cutter PRO Auto-Lock stainless steel knife expecting just another utility tool, but wow—it immediately became the go-to for every detail task. The stainless steel body feels incredibly solid yet lightweight, and works better than expected... Flipping the blade back is smooth whether you're right or left-handed. Auto-lock slider keeps it secure so your cuts stay clean and controlled. The snap-off blade is crazy sharp and replaces easily. Cuts through vinyl, cardboard, or film without any flex—seriously better than the flimsy plastic cutters I’ve used before. Overall, this knife makes any trimming job feel effortless and is perfect for DIY crafts, window tint, packaging, or general household jobs. Might be overkill for occasional use, but for fans of conveniently mid-sized precision tools. Really hard to complain or beat at an incredible price... My Pro Tip... Angle matters – For straight lines, keep the blade at about a 45° angle and apply even pressure. Don’t press too hard and let the blade do the work. Rule of thumb your fingers under the knife will allow for the perfect angle and perfect cut every time, on curves come up a little and guide, no need to pull the blade.

This is what I was looking for, a slim design, very light and very tight, smooth operation.

Works well easy to use easy to extend blade, stays in position, good quality blades, compact and seems well made. Used frequently in the shop.
