Lovely light but arrived with a couple of little scratches on the chrome. Not from delivery as it was very well packaged, can only pressume they weren't spotted when going through quality control.Took a while to establish what bulbs I required, and yes they are normal size bulbs as they fit sideways. Make sure you buy screwfix, can also be purchased through Amazon and look through the comments for the type.Overall a lovely, tidy light, unsure about fitting as my plumber fit it when doing the bathroom.

This is sometimes marketed as a bathroom light on account of being safe to use in zone 2 and 3 environments. I am however using it in the living room which happens to have a low ceiling and thus I had the need for a low profile enclosure.It is solidly built and easy to install. More importantly it looks very good and the missus would not tolerate something merely functional in the living room. It was the only product that met all my needs, these were (1) low profile, (2) no need to cut out a large hole in the ceiling, (3) aesthetics acceptable to the missus. I think it is overpriced, but still I bought it for the lack of other options. 4 stars because it is not good value for money.Edit: Feb 2018 - Recently needed to change a lamp in the enclosure. It surely is not user friendly when it comes to removing the cover. Ideally you need two people - one to hold the cover and other to loosen the screws. Holding the cover by one hand is scary and it becomes very unstable once the screws are loose. For a product this expensive, more thought should have gone into the ergonomics of maintenance activities.

Excellent quality, nice finish, shame about the terminal block, not really appropriate for retro fitting in a UK house with loop in wiring.

Although I was very disappointed that I purchased a light that is out of stock I would like to comment on how helpful lights4living were in letting me know promptly so I could get on and find something else to replace it and my money was refunded immediately. The young man I spoke to was very sympathetic, it was nice that he actually cared.

Looks good and is nicely made. No way would I run the rated 160W in it though, it's got no insulation or ventilation whatsoever, so I've loaded it up with LED bulbs.

Failure when tried to switch on this morningThought bulbs had blown. Instead I find all connections had perished showing exposed wires. Less than 2 months old
