It support 2 .4.8. **Q: What is the maximum range in real world?** A: 8 meters in an ideal environment. The ideal environment refers to the environment where the measured object has high reflectivity to the laser and low illuminance. In actual use, the illuminance of the environment and the reflectivity of the measured object to the laser directly affect the measurement range and accuracy **Q: How would this perform on a moving gate in Carribean outside environment** A: I've found that the amount of ambient light really affects its range. In the dark its range can be 15 to 20 ft, but it barely works at all in bright sunlight. I tried to use it to measure the distance between a car and the sensor in a very small garage, but when the sunlight was coming in the garage it just didn't work. **Q: Can anyone find the socket information for this module? I.e. to make a new cable of desired length from scratch without cutting/splicing** A: There's a review by RDM of this product that has some good info, including the pinouts.
