Krusteaz Basic Muffin Mix, 80 OZ

When it became impossible to find flour at the store or online, I found this on Amazon and didn't hesitate buying it. The price was excellent for the amount of product and I know from experience that Krusteaz makes great mixes. I've used it once so far using a half-dozen sized batch. It was so easy and because it doesn't have pre-determined mix-ins, I was able to make 3 mixed-berry muffins for me and 3 chocolate chip muffins for my husband. I just put some mix in the bottom of the cups, dropped in some fillings, topped with additional mix, then stuffed a few more berries/chips in from the top. Sprinkled all of them with sugar ... and voila.... great muffins. You definitely need to say on the sweet side of things. I was hoping I might be able to go savory on some of them but not really possible. It's a sweet mix. All in all, a great find and I'll definitely buy again!

Easy and versatile.This makes it great if you just have to make a quick batch of muffins. It has a great taste and you can add anything and a little sugar if you like your muffin sweet. I’ve made blueberry and chocolate chip and both were wonderful.

A tad sweet. Not especially flavorful in any "deep sense" -- just "sweet white flour" (e.g., not much Vanilla, buttermilk or warm flavor). This simply means your muffins will only be as good as your mix-in ingredients and your own ingenuity.

I have used Krusteaz products for years because they are easy to use, easy to vary and produce very good baked goods as a result. However, they are almost impossible to find in stores in my area. Being able to order through Amazon has been wonderful. The products arrive, I add water and bake. In less than an hour We have warm, tasty muffins with no mess and little to clean up. I will continue to order and bake this was. Only drawback is the mailing packaging.

This is my review after using my first box. OMG...This MIX is exceptional because it’s so time saving. It will give you everything you want in a muffin. There is no need for Eggs, Butter, Milk etc. When the mood strikes you to bake muffins, all you need is water 💦!! The “Small Batch“ instructions yields me 6 JUMBO (blueberry). Easy reading print on back of box answers all your questions.Note: I mixed a simple crumb topping of1/2 sugar, 1/3 cup flour, 1/4 stick butter, and 1 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon. Added it to the top before baking and will need an extra 5 minutes or so from the box instructions.Saves Time, Saves Money, Wonderful Aroma....What more can I say👩‍🍳

I bake all the time and use this mix for all types of fruit and nut breads and muffins. Loaves and muffins puff up perfectly during baking and no sinking. I do add additional ingredients that aren't called for (eggs, butter, vanilla) just because that's what I like to do. This mix is very different than a Bisquick or Jiffy mix. Not suitable for pancake and waffle making.

I found this mix by chance and am I glad I did. I have used it several times and LOVE it. I've made banana nut, blueberry and recently chocolate chip. They are so good and so easy and quick!!! I sure to miss the honey oat bran mix I used to buy so will try using this mix to see what I can create using this mix.
