Great shorts but waist size is small I'm a 34 in every other brand of trousers and jeans these in a 36 fit like a 34 so beware other than that cracking hard-wearing shorts

Bought make, model and size as existing pair of shorts but these new ones seem smaller around the waist - I hope they'll stretch!

I recently bought these to replace a very similar pair of Carhartt shorts that I’ve owned and warn for many years! I expect this new pair to be even more hard wearing if anything as the material is slightly thicker than the shorts they have replaced. The design is otherwise identical and I will definitely consider ordering more as I have been finding it hard to come across this particular brand on the high street. As other reviewers have noted, the sizes do run a bit small, so order one waist size above your usual and you will be fine (I ordered 36w when I am normally 34w and they fit perfectly).
