Great way to keep memories
This is perfect for memorializing the beginning and end of each school year. My son is going into 4th grade and has been using the same one since kindergarten. Cleans off well from year to year!

We use this every year
We have used this for almost 3 years now and it’s so fun. It has held up and I’m hoping to use it every year until my kids are out of school, or as long as they stay willing volunteers for school pictures. I use chalk markers on it, and they erase easily on this writing surface. We really love that we can use it for first and last day too!

Many reviews complained they weren't actual chalkboards.
After reading reviews, I picked up some chalk markers and it worked out great. Liked using the markers, instead of actual chalk, because the colors were more vibrant and fun.Other reviews mentioned grammatical errors. I'm guessing they're talking about the favorites section? It's the name of the category, it's not a sentence. You're listing multiple favorite items, so calling the section "My Favorites", really isn't wrong.

Great Quality
Chose this board based on the specific design and text boxes. Pleasantly surprised by the hard plastic border that is an upgrade over the last version I bought.

Misleading! Only able to use once.
This is not a chalkboard whatsoever. It’s basically a laminated piece of cardboard that looked like crap when I wrote on it because it didn’t work with chalk or even my normal chalk marker. When I pulled it out of the package the corners were frayed. Waste of money! :(

Overall? Great for a short term, if you want something cute for the first day and maybe the last day of school. It was easy to write on with chalk markers (if you don't have a set, get some anyways. They work wonders on windows, mirrors or "real" chalkboards) and cleaned off easily. The print was vibrant and I was not disappointed in how it photographed.Why am I disappointed? I was on the hunt for a nice board I could use for the next 12 years without either having to make my own or selling off my first born for a piece of plastic and/or wood. After reading reviews I thought I found the nice match between cardboard and overpriced. Apparently not. It will work and store for this first year, but by the first day of school next year I will have to replace it (or make my own).
