I have been using this detergent for years and it does a remarkable job of removing stains. I have two small children who keep me well stocked with stains and we have lousy water and this detergent gets out things that I thought would never come out-strawberry, blueberry, peaches, avocado, and whatever that black goo was that my son rolled in last week. They all come out. overloading the washer or not using enough detergent will limit the detergent's effectiveness. Voice of experience here-don't try to be overly efficient or skimp on the detergent to make it last longer. use the recommended amount or it doesn't work as well.

I was glad to see that the product arrived before the scheduled date. But, when I took a look at the dripping box, I knew that there was a problem. Upon openning I found that the Seventh Generation Laundry 4x Free and Clear 6 pack was not in solid bottles as shown on the Amason site. The product comes in a thin plastic bag with a spot and cap encased in a cardboard form. The forms had been crushed and the soap was leaking out of the box and onto my porch. In the case of six "bottles" ALL were leaking. I am sure the product works as well as it has for years for us, unfortunately I will only get to use a portion of this shipment while I await restitution from Amazon.

We've used 7th Generation products for some time, and just discovered the liquid detergent in the cardboard bottle. I've got nothing even slightly negative to say about it. I think the packaging is genius because it is recyclable and you still get the high quality soap.Bravo!

I've never had a problem with a detergent not being able to remove normal stains. But this "detergent" is completely incapable of removing any stain. It is just useless goop you can add to your wash load if you want those stains to be set forever.Do not buy!
