Good quality for the price
Save money and buy this instead. Retail stores wanted a lot more for this type of umbrella stand. Happy with my purchase. Good value and good quality.

Love the look, but I expected maybe a little heavier. It's doing the job fine without any extra help from a table right now.

Attractive and Well-Made
Base looks very nice, pole-holder is very sturdy, and the bolt that holds them together seems substantial.Once the umbrella pole was inserted into the base, and the screw was tightened the umbrella pole was securely fixed and steady.Hard to say how an item will hold up over time, but so far I am very pleased with this nice weighted base.

This base looks nice at a casual glance and works great for nice weather or up to light winds. With use with a secure patio table with an umbrella hole, this is a fair buy.HOWEVER in medium to heavy winds, the umbrella can be blown over if not also getting additional support from a patio table, so if you are using this as a stand-alone umbrella stand, I would not recommend it, as it can be blown over, and because the stand looks tend to be not-so-good at close viewing.Also the adapter rings to adapt the stand for smaller umbrella poles are plastic, and will wiggle out with use.Really, the adapters should have been made longer, so they nested better in the stand, and the stand should have had either a broader footprint, or more weight in the base to make it usable in any outdoor umbrella situation.

These are adequate but not elegant.
I was looking for an upgraded base. For this price I thought that could be expected. I liked the design in the picture, but up close they are not elegant. These are a rough molded metal and them painted white - not even a very good paint job. There are steel parts like the screws that are zinc plated. I'm replacing those with stainless. I have other bases that are very elegant and well made. I guess I will go back to the garden center to get quality!
