Seems to work just fine. I had read a few reviews that said it was only a forehead thermometer but I wasn't really worried because I wasn't looking for an ear thermometer. I want to clarify that it is BOTH. The ear probe is under the cap on the top. The cap pops right off.

Works well. Just wish sound was louder for audible tone as it's very quiet you don't hear it unless you are the one using it; so when taking another's person's temp it's if no help.

Do not waste your money!This completely stopped working after 33 days. Before that, forehead scan and ear scan would be 2 degrees different. Now it says error and the code says “ambient temperature not in range”. Other error code said temperature too high and also gave reading of 107.8 degrees on my forehead.I went to return and it said it was eligible to return until November 12th but when I clicked on it Amazon said the return window had closed on September 13. The instruction booklet says there is a 1 year warranty but there is no information on who to contact or phone number to call!

In the beginning this worked well but after the first month I started having issues with it. I don’t find this to be very accurate. Especially when using it in the ear. It has malfunctioned for me a few times. Giving me results in the red that just say high. If I take multiple reads I get a different temp each time. When I compare with another thermometer the two readings are always different.
