I was introduced to Southern style cheese straws by my Alabama-born MIL who made them from scratch. After being unable to replicate her mouth-watering perfection, I went on the hunt. I discovered these a year ago when my regular cheese straw supplier stopped shipping products (I’m a CPA and think they may have had a sales tax audit b/c they never charged any). I was really bummed and went in search of a substitute.These are just as good at about half the price! And the hot pepper are to die for. When I come home from work every day, they are my habit to relax. And...if you’ll spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake at 325 for ~10 minutes and eat while warm, they are even more addictive.Yes, I have to be careful or I could make them my dinner every night and they are not great for the waistline.Barring that, they are simply amazing and everyone I have served them to has raved about them.As for arriving in tiny pieces, I think that reviewer was simply unlucky. This picture is representative of what I have every night (I am sitting and chilling on my front porch enjoying these and an adult beverage and in cheese straw heaven.) About 1/4 - 1/3 of the pan is the most I want to eat and it’s perfect. After they’re “cooked” once, I’ll chow on the rest of the pan for another few nights, some reheated, some as is, and just enjoy the sublime perfection of a well-made cheese straw. And, quite frankly, this is one case where size doesn’t matter - they would be just as delicious in 1/2” nibbles.Try them - if you don’t like them, I’ll happily take them off your hands. : ) Enjoy!

These have the flavor and texture I've been looking for. I just wish they weren't so pricey. Can afford to buy as often as I'd like. Probably just as well!

These taste so much like the ones my Grandma used to make. Absolutely delish!!!! I can eat half a bag at once!!! It’s larger then you thing…but wish it was 3 bags for the price. BUT so NOT complaining….had so many that leave an after taste or taste artificial….these are the REAL DEAL!!! A MUST try….and hope you don’t go thru a bag as quickly as I do! ;)

Mom used to make these in Louisiana they’re spicy and cheesy and great for gifts!
