Georgia Grinders Cashew Butter, 12 Oz

I wasn't sure about this at first since I normally buy another brand that doesn't have salt but this turned out to be really good! There's a slight hint of salt that enhances the taste but certainly nothing overpowering. The best part is that this does not separate. It stays creamy and ready to go and is a great consistency and easily spreadable. The jar, while not large, is a good size for at least a week of daily sandwiches or use on toast.Overall, that is a great cashew butter and I definitely recommend it.Update: I am now on my third jar of this and it is still excellent quality. One jar did have the salt settle to the bottom so the last inch or so was a bit saltier, but it was not overwhelming. This is still an awesome product and I still highly recommend it.

OMG - this stuff is "the bees knees".I love natural peanut butter, but over the past few years became sensitive to peanuts, and had to stop eating it. I had never had cashews before (for some reason their crescent shape always turned me off), but kept reading about how a lot of people who have problems with peanuts can eat cashews. I decided to give this a try and I'M HOOKED. Cashews have a naturally sweet taste that can only be duplicated in peanuts by adding sugar.It's so hard to stay away from the jar that I have to hide it from myself in the back of the cupboard. Since it's so pricey, I'll probably start buying lower quality cashews and grinding my own cashew butter. I just hope my homemade version tastes this good - lol

(However, I'll attempt a description...) I am a cashew NUT although this is my first-ever cashew butter. I cannot, however, imagine finding anything better!! The ingredients? Cashews and sea salt. Period. And it's perfection! It tastes like -- cashews and sea salt! It's beyond perfection. It's cashews, but in a jar! It's HEAVEN in a jar!My love of cashews is often interrupted by my severe TMJ Dysfunction. I had to cut way back on my cashew consumption, which was a major bummer. This cashew butter solves that problem -- bless Georgia Grinders so very much! I have MISSED my cashews!! I happily welcome them back!This cashew butter is terrific on crackers but I prefer eating it on a spoon! Craving cashews? Grab a spoon!P.S. Yes, the JAR is a bit large for the 12 ounces of cashew butter. But you are NOT at all shorted on product!

This is pretty okay. It's less flavorful than the last brand I had.... The salt is undissolved in some spots and migrates to the edges of the jars, which is no big deal because even in cold weather this peanutbutter is pretty stir-able. Just stir it up and make sure to scrape the sides, and you're good for a few months. Overall I just think it's a little bland compared to my other brand. Tastes quality. nothing bad to say about it, just not wow'ed.

So, I read the reviews and decided to buy this despite claims that some jars were half empty. Lo and behold, mine was, too. The jar label says 12 oz, and I decided to weigh the contents to see just how much I was shorted. I was sure I only had about 2/3 of that, at best! Well, as you can see in the photo, this cashew butter weighs in at close to 12 oz! I figure the tiny bit that's missing is probably what I licked off the spatula. Why does the manufacturer use a jar that's too big? I don't know. But, I also don't care, now that I know I'm getting what I paid for. I'll buy it again--it's delicious!

The product was OK. The sea salt is in large granules and not mixed in well. This resulted in part of the product being bland and unseasoned, and part of the product being very crunchy and far to salty to taste good. It can be hard to mix salt into a product that is nuts and salt only, but I would think if Georgia Grinders can grind cashews, they can surely grind and mix sea salt in for a more consistent and tasty product.

My first endeavour into other nut butters aside from peanut was this and I must say that it was an excellent decision that I cannot ever regret. The manufacturer says that it does not need to be refrigerated, but I'm a bit of a paranoid food storage freak, and so I do refrigerate this, but let me tell you, if you live in a warm area, the stuff itself stays very fluid, unlike some of the more popular nut butters out there. They make this with real stuff and, from what I can tell, plenty of tender loving care. Don't let the elevated price tag dissuade you. It's very much worth it. Tastes like something grandma once made.

Cashew butter tastes great but when I opened the jar and used it the first time, there was a huge air bubble in the jar which took up almost half of the space in the jar. I bought this because it was twice the size I could get in the grocery store but was really disappointed that I only got half a jar of product. Would probably never buy this brand again because of this. Really poor quality control to let a half-empty jar go out the door. There's no way that this jar was weighed before it went out the door. Not worth the price for a half empty jar. Disappointed.
