No meat in this product, mincemeat is an old English name for minced dried fruit

Q: does it have real roast beef in it?

I purchased the mincemeat. I opened it to take a taste before filling my pieshell and it was so incredibly sweet and pungent I could not bear the taste so I just discarded the contents. It looked so delicious I had memories of previous mincemeat pies and to say the least I was disappointed. I do not know if it had real roast beef. Sorry. The cost is expensive. I would not recommend this to product unless you like very sweet, pungent mincemeat pies.

Q: how long will it keep un-opened--no expiration date on my jar???

I have had two jars of your mincemeat for two years. I have scanned the jar over and over and do not find an expiration date. Is this safe to bake with now?
