I bought this to replace a nightlight we have plugged-in to the outlet on our garage’s ceiling. The hope was to cast a bit more light in the garage (than the 4 or 7 watt bulb that was already up there), thus eliminating the need to flip on a wall switch to activate the normal overhead lightning, yet still being able to see while walking through the garage. Well, this seemed like the perfect solution: plug it in to the unused outlet where the garage door opener is and install a 9watt bulb for some brighter light. The socket works like a charm! We can see our path without having to fumble for a light switch when coming home, or for a quick trip out to get something in the garage. My only wish is that it had a photo sensor on it and operated dusk-dawn. But, our bulb is LED, so we’re not wasting too much electricity with it ‘always-on’.

it is a VERY Good product.. versatile and affordable.
not heavy duty but, perfect for my needs: Light bulb tester.. just be sure your finger is not in socket when plugging in :).. ( I should have purchased the 4 pack: after it came, I thought of many other potential uses for it.)

This is a simple device that I couldn't find at my local Big box retailer. I used it to plug a light bulb in under the kitchen sink.

Nice, simple, sturdy and affordable product that does what it's supposed to! All you need is a bulb and an outlet and you're good to go. I use it with an LED lightbulb on a timer-activated power bar to provide consistent periods of "daylight" in my pet hedgehog's room. Works like a charm.

Fits standard bulb size very well I’m using it for a LED Phillips bulb in the socket that’s plugged into the garage ceiling near the opener. Provides ample light for area.
