SpaceKids Bicycle Bike w/Handbrake, Coaster Brake, Training Wheels, & Water Bottle

I’m very pleased with this bike. It is cute and well-made. We are using training wheels now. They are easy to adjust and set, and provide good support. I like the one hand break that gives the kid more control. The water bottle holder (it comes with a water bottle too) is thoughtful and handy. It holds a bottle of purified water well also. We had a smaller toddler bike of a different brand; It was so hard to ride (like driving a truck), and was rarely used. Our child loves this new bike and wants to ride it all the time. I can tell the difference immediately by how easy it rides.

Bike arrived on schedule and was easy to assemble. Be sure to tighten down on the training wheels nuts because they can loosen up over time. Just remember to keep your kick stand for those that start out with training wheel. First summer in the books with this bike and no issues. There is one thing to note, the bike is a challenge to mount on a bike rack that uses the bike's frame to keep it in place. Bike rack used was a Thule Apex 4 mount swing away.

Easy setup and reasonable price.

So I made the mistake of buying a bike slightly too big for my 7yr old son. Teaching him to ride without training wheels on that thing was proving to be no fun for either of us. Finally I decided to get him the right size, but in this Covid-lockdown I couldn’t find an 18 inch anywhere. After weeks of searching I came across the Royalbaby Space No. 1 on Amazon. Though pricier than I wanted, I decided to suck it up and order it. Man, am I happy I did...Delivery came ahead of schedule. Assembly couldn’t have been easier (watched a video on YouTube). Im no expert, but this bike seems superbly made: solid steel frame, covered wiring (caliper breaks), covered chain and bolts for protection. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design. Even what I first thought was a defect (the front tire not turning easily past 45 degrees each side) actually wound up being a safety precaution once I researched it (to avoid overturning and crashing/falling).My son started out reluctant and fearful, hesitant to learn to ride on an inferior bike too big for him. Where once I had to push/coerce him to practice riding, I now can’t keep him off. From the moment he got on it, he’s been riding on his own and now considers himself a ‘master rider’ (his words, not mine). Seeing him eager to ride, cruising around with his little ‘biker gang’ on a bike of this quality couldn’t make me happier. Well worth every penny and then some...

I bought this bike for my grandson’s 4th birthday and was so glad I did. After researching for a while I realized that the Royal Baby brand was the way to go and I was not disappointed. It’s a very sturdy bike that was very easy to put together. My grandson will enjoy this bike for years to come.
