Had this a couple of weeks now, myself and child have put it through it paces,for £40 it's very good, well built - it can take a battering. battery lasts about 20 - 25 mins depending on the terrain & use, comes with 2. Controls take bit mastering, but easy enough. Has option for 60% power which is handy for children learning to operate it works well on solid surfaces & even short grass, does not handle well on loose surfaces like pea gravel, being 2wd it spins out easily. Not tried it on sand. The battery screw is fiddly, deffo a job for a responsible person, my box had 3 extra as spare (comes with screw driver) Fun to play at dusk with the lights, a good buy - would recommend, a fun RCC 👍

Bought as z present for my grandson i charged the batteries and ensured that it was all working correctly. You need to buy 3 AA batteries for the remote . I was amazed at the speed this goes i am sure he will have fun . It seems quite sturdy hope it lasts . You can register for a 12 month warranty. The company are extremely helpful if you have any questions I contacted them as by the time the birthday arrives it will be past the 30 day amazon return all now documented. Excellent price and would reccomend fot age 5 plus . USB batteries charged quickly there ready once the red light goes out,

This is a good R/C car for beginners. I’d say kept at around the below age ten range. Anything older would render this car lacklustre in its capability to wow the user. However for the right age range this rc car is great. Good quality and seems to be made of robust plastics. It’s not massively fast, but for the under-tens it’s just fine. The steering is a bit all or nothing and the controller lacks substance, but really it’s not all that bad. You get everything you need to have a few minutes fun with your kid, and it’s an inexpensive way to find out if they’re into RC cars or not. Saves spending hundreds on a Tamiya only to find out they’re not interested. All in all, it’s a basic inexpensive car that’ll be fit for purpose so long as your expectations are in order. Please note that it’s pretty small too. So unless you know your scale model numbers, be aware that it’ll probably be smaller than expected. The lights on the front illuminating when the car is ‘on’ is a nice touch, and adds to the fun, whilst making a good indicator of whether it’s actually on or not. Top marks for an entry level RC car for kids.

The other glowing reviews cover the functionality aspect. Kid's love it. HOWEVER the steering system broke within a week of purchase and there was no good reason why it should. Suddenly when you try to turn you hear a motor spinning and the wheels stay put. I assume the coupling of the steering motor to the wheels broke. But I have also other issues: The battery will last about half an hour and that's ok. The problem is that in order to charge the battery, you need to take it out and plug it into a charger. BUT firstly you need a screw driver to do this as you need to remove a screw and SECONDLY the battery compartment is very tight, effectively the battery + the connector DO NOT FIT and you need to somehow cram them into the cavity by squishing and pulling wires. Basically to recharge the car its a whole drama and it's only a matter of time before you rip one of the battery wires. I don't understand why they couldnt have some sort of plug to charge the car without removing the bettery.

For the price it's cheaply made Chinese brand . Get one from a Sunday market likely cheaper and better quality control . 3star as I should have known better and not brought it I blame my self

This is an excellent remote control truck A present for my 9 year old grandson The controller is easy and precise It has a fantastic distance range. I was impressed with the sturdiness of the truck. Good suspension Two speeds. The midrange is much quieter than the full speed but. Where near as noisy as a lot I have seen It has a row of lights on the front of the truck which my grandson thought was “cool” It comes with extra screws for the battery casing plus a small screwdriver You do need to get 3 AA batteries got the controller The batteries take a while to charge and don’t last hugely long but you do get two packs. I wouldn’t leave them unattended as the battery pack gets hot All in all a great product
