Mepitel wound dressing is the most amazing dressing! My husband has very thin skin that tears easily leaving the skin “split apart.” This dressing is miraculous in that you place it over the wound, put gauze over it and a wrap. It allows the secretions, (blood and ooze) to soak into the gauze while keeping the wound clean and allowed the skin to heal UNDER the bandage! You leave it on for up to 14 days, and change the gauze as needed! When you peel it off the skin underneath is totally healed!!! Mind blown!!! I wish we’d have had this years ago…

Having an open wound on my left inner lower leg, even after protecting it sadly infection set in and the wound would not close. This item not only helped with wound protection, it also aided in the healing process. Kept in plave by gause wrapping, it is comfortable, doesn't slip, and after daily use the wound has closed. I believe the healing was largely due to this wrap.

I have a bit of a different use for these, I am going through radiation treatments and my radiation oncologist suggested getting them to help keep the radiation from burning the skin. In the doctors own words...I was a success story with using them. After 3 weeks (still a few more left) of treatment my skin is still not burned badly like it would have been if I was not using these. They allow the creams to go through them to help with the skin tightening and itchiness, I would highly recommend these!

This is an excellent product! These silicone mesh sheets are great for shallow wounds or burns. They are especially kind to thin, fragile skin. I just wish they were less expensive.

The nurses and doctors say this is the best for open wounds. It doesn’t stick to the wound. But promotes healing.

Doctor used these & said get them. Very expensive BUT cut large pieces to fit area. Wish it was covered by health insurance but not. Worth it if you want to stay on skin to protect. Breathes, Comfortable and the medicine can easily be put on with same bandage in tact.

If you have been told to order for Breast Radiation this is NOT the correct one. The right one is Mepitel Film that cannot be ordered on Amazon. I bought mine from Home Health Store in Canada

I suffered A Very bad burn that resulted in an opening on the surface of the skin. So big that I was told I should be put in the hospital to have a skin graph surgery to close it. But With this amazing product and patients of time I was given home instruction on how to care for my wound at home that had to be stricked and sanitary. I can't express on how amazing my arm looks with the use of this product. But can say one of its best quality of this product. It could be a knee scrape or elbow a burn, any injury that is open and needs to heal and kept clean without the painfulness of gauze bandages, band aids to cover it . When it's covered it and adheres to the bandage or band aid that pulls the wound back open and now back to square one again. The mepitel is a product that allows a wound that's been cleaned and cared for placing one of the mepitel sheets over it allows it to stay clean , air to heal it. And best of all the product will not adhere to a wound , scab, etc which hurts when it time to clean and rewrap. It's amazing👍
