The Chef: Murder at Mardi Gras

This is the worst Paterson i have read. I don't know who has the biggest ego, the main character, detective Rooney or the man who wrote him. A mix of superman meets barman and robin. He needs no help, can find time to bed another mans wife , solves a terrorist plot single handed and all whilst not being a serving police officer. Sorry much as i admire Paterson this is just one to keep the publshers happy ! Shame

I have to presume Patterson didnt read this one by his writer.A poor plot - an ex cop who spends most of his time prepping veg for his food truck is able to outpace the FBI and persude crims to tell him whats happening whilst at the same time gets a new lover who had a fraud marriage because her husband paid for an organ transplant .Then it gets worse. The writing is beyond cheesy and reads more like an afternoon tv drama aimed at filling a dull schedule.Any co-authored Patterson book is usually a good holiday read but had this been a meal on the beach then I would have sent it back.

This is the most ridiculous story line I have read in 64 years. So far fetched it’s unbelievable

Couldn't get on with this book. Read about half then gave up

Say no more,I love James Patterson books,haven,t read it yet, but looking forward to it.

Great read keep me guessing all the way through
