LaCie2big RAID, 28TB, External Hard Drive Desktop, USB-C, 7.200 RPM, Enterprise Class Drives, for Mac and PC Desktop (STHJ28000800)

So far nothing to dislike. It's very quiet, nicely designed, and if you're a Mac owner, it's plug and play. If I had one complaint, it would be that there is a very large (5/8ths inch) blue light on the front that's on 24/7. If there is a way to turn it off, I haven't found it. When the machine is sleeping, the big light blinks slowly, but steadily. It can be a bit irritating, but nothing I can't live with. If it really gets to be a problem, I'll just put a piece of electrician's tape over it. This is a big drive with tons of capacity. I am a professional photographer and I need large drives for tens-of-thousands of photos. I have some ten drives altogether, and I would rank this one as the fastest of all for downloading and uploading. I can not yet vouch for dependability as I've only had it for a month or so, but I have about fifty-thousand images on it to date, so you can see that I have more than a little confidence in LaCie products.

This is now my third LaCie 2big. I am a photographer and my need for storage (with internal mirrored backup) is always growing. Living full time in a motorhome, space is always an issue. I have been able to replace 11 WD drives with these (WD no longer do Thunderbolt /mirrored) and freed up valuable space. The only slightly negative comment is that it takes a considerable time for the drives to re-power up when I have processed an image to be stored.

Seemed like the smart thing to do - spend more to get high quality. But apparently this isn't the case - at first I couldn't read one of the partitions, then it stopped powering up. I can't endorse any product that fails that quickly performing such an essential function.

Si presenta così bene che può essere un oggetto anche di arredamento.È abbastanza silenzioso (non concordo con le recensioni in cui viene descritto come rumoroso).Il trasferimento dati in Raid 1 è sui 200 MB/s , considerato che parliamo di un sistema con 8 tb di spazio (4tb in raid 1) mi sembra al di sopra della norma.Unico neo il manuale, che dovrebbe essere migliorato. Il software di gestione invece è buono.Provato a contattare anche il supporto tecnico... OTTIMO! per qualsiasi problematica o domanda, nel periodo di garanzia, si può contare su un supporto affidabile!Straconsigliato.

I was looking for a relatively pro/stable/fast external storage to be able to edit 4k video files off.It claimed speeds of up to 440 MB/s in RAID0 configuration with Ironwolf PRO hdds which should have a speed of 220 MB/s individually even in JBOD mode or RAID1.The read and write speeds i got in RAID0 not more then 125MB/s.it was half of what a regular HDD would perform at.I have a top of the line Windows workstation with USB 3.1 (at least) which has a pipeline of 5 Gbps which equals to around 640 MB/sI am clearly nowhere close to it. Hence I had to return the product which costs soo soo much more than an alternative consumer-level solution for the same. I've had great experiences with using Lacie portable and solo external drives for many years ... this was just super disappointing.

Wer für den Filmschnitt oder als BACKUP eine schnelle HDD sucht, bekommt mit dem RAID von LACIE ein perfektes SystemIdeal auch für den Filmschnitt am MAC und Anschluss an USBc. Im Vergleich zum baugleichen Rais mit Thunderbolt 3 gibt es keine Nachteile bei der Geschwindigkeit. Im Test kamen wir auf 420 GB Lesen und 400 schreiben. Das Raid ist auch leise im Betrieb

PROSEl producto es robusto, silencioso, está bien diseñado estéticamente y en cuanto a la extracción cómoda de las unidades de disco. Cubre las necesidades de velocidad de grabación y lectura. Las conexiones de la parte delantera son un extra muy práctico.CONTRASEl interruptor se encuentra en la parte trasera y resulta algo incómodo. El cable thunderbolt 3, de únicamente 50 cm de longitud, obliga a tener el disco justo al lado de la conexión de tu equipo no permitiendo jugar con la distribución del mismo sobre la mesa de trabajo, algo absolutamente injustificable para un artículo de esta calidad y precio. No deberían haber ahorrado en eso.
