Bought these for two smaller breed dogs who would not quit chewing. A standard rat terrier who was fine with it until it started wearing a sore in her muzzle. We had to switch to a mesh muzzle to prevent her chewing and to let her nose heal. It was amusing to watch her try and get it off, this was the only one she could not pull off. So kudos on tight straps. The second is a reindeer chihuahua, it lasted all of 5 minutes, unlike her sister her straps were no match for her determination, she did not want that thing on.

My dog pulled it right off, but I may have needed a bigger one. Sure looked funny.

This was perfect. It’s soft and allowed me to give my bat crap crazy dog a bath.

The material and quality feels very comfortable. However, the snout runs small. I've got a <40lbs lab mix 10mos old foster pup who I'd love to give some more freedom without risking her chewing on something inappropriate. Although her snout is what I'd consider average according to measurements, I could not get this past halfway and it felt too tight. She could not open her mouth, and it was not able to clip closed in the back. I'll still be keeping it in case I need it for a future foster, but wish it came in a bigger size!

I found out about this product by Lilo the wennie on instagram... looked like a good option compared to caged style ones I found a bit cruel. So I was happy to find this more open alternative and also cute :) ... My small old lady is a 11 lb small poodle and I got the size M, good fit! but the awful smell! OMG... I let it air for weeks and nothing... then kept it under a mix of dog shampoo and water for 4 weeks cleaning it and changing it every other day and helped! But still I can smell just a bit of that chemical odor... but is way better... I would never put this on my furry baby smelling like that I'm sure would be so unconfortable and even harmful... about performance: it works like 90% of the time the other 10% my doggo tries to take it out but I can easily clean her ears, paws, nails without a sassy bite... so please if you get a smelly one consider doing the same.

I ordered 2 of these to compare the small and medium on my dog, and BOTH of them came totally squashed in the package, which makes the duck bill is crooked. This makes it very hard to put over my dog's short snout, and i really had to spend quite some time to help the muzzle regain its shape after being flattened in the packaging for so long. Other than that its perfect and works great, gets lots of laughs at the vet and the groomers too (:

I’ma vet tech and got this as a cute way to make muzzles not as scary for some of my nail trim clients as well as my personal dogs. While it fits the snout perfectly and protects me from bites, the straps are not long enough to make adjustments for some of the dogs with a bigger head base. It’s a little too tight on one of my corgis. I also wish they made a larger one for bigger dogs (labs, huskies, etc). I would love one for all dog sizes, but I’m good with the one I have. Just disappointed in the strap length.

It does the job. I got it to save my fingers while I clip my pups nails. The small fits ok on my 11lb chihuahua. He was able to get his nose out of the top, which is why I gave it 4 star rating. It's difficult to get the strap tight enough after a certain point. I had to have my boyfriend hold the strap while I cut his nails to make sure he couldn't get out of it. I might have to spend more time figuring out the strap...but the initial review is it's decent for the price. I DO NOT RECOMMEND LEAVING THIS ON YOUR DOG UNSUPERVISED.

Compared to the sma one I got the medium is huge.

The most important thing to note is that your dog won’t be able to pant properly. Do not use on hot days do not leave on unsupervised at all. I used it on my grumpy little shipoo to stop her snapping at her brothers. She had it on for 5 minutes on a hot day and could not pant enough to cool down. It stopped her from biting her brother (she tried in those 5 minutes) so it did what it’s supposed to do. When I got the size right she was unable to take it off (unlike everything else I’ve tried. ) of course she tried desperately to take it off most of the short walk was her dragging her face on the ground to try and get it off. I am happy with its effectiveness I’m not sure it will stop her barking as I’m not putting it on her again until it cools down and she’s had a haircut. But please only use in comfortable temperatures while supervised if you see they are trying to pant take it off asap I cannot stress this enough !!! The duck part is very durable the straps are a bit flimsy a big dog could probably snap it easily. The first one I got (a small) did not fit my my 15 lbs shipoo the small one is more chihuahua size And smelled badly of chemicals. The medium fit her and did not have such an intense smell to it. I’m happy with the product but I worry about it just because of the not panting enough part and that some owners might want to leave it on their dog a go out.
